Some of those would likely be destined for the Section 31 group if they were to be made at all. Low volume at premium pricing to make it financially feasible.

Interesting. This is something I could probably live without, but if it turns out as nice as the QMX chair then I might be tempted. Even though it would be a massive space hog.

If he did just changed the settings on his page to “Friends Only” or added a new series of blocks, this could be evidence that this Section 31 elite group may be finally taking shape.

Given his stance of “Experts” vs. “Friends” I was always surprised that he didn’t go with the Friends Only setting from the start.

Are you sure? I asked a friend who is not a collector and as never had anything to do with NT or EXO and he reports he can't find his account with a general search either, and he would not have been personally blocked.

Haven't visited his Nanjin Tam or EXO-6 private page in a long while as I can't stand him, but I checked both after seeing your post and I have access to them.

I don't have Facebook but I did a Google search of Nanjin Tam Facebook page and found it.

I don't think he liked your Kira photoshop. We can only accept these figures as they come out of the box apparently.

The guy might be overly block-happy, but imagine doing this for this long and having so many people take a dump on your work because of stuff like chosen expressions being unpopular is grating. As far as I can tell he doesn't have the budget for a dedicated community manager (which REALLY helps).

I work in a public facing industry and I've seen the effects random internet people can have on the mental health of people. And I did stuff that was overwhelmingly positively recieved, but the yelling 1% was so much more vocal it just about destroyed a few people. So while he can be... nicer and take criticism better... and be more understanding perhaps... I'm not surprised how he reacts.

Plus I'm kind of not doubting some of his words. Like, yeah he's trying to release products on a budget at a certain quality and he has to be realistic. It's totally true when he says we don't know how to run a factory. I actually think when it comes to the production of this stuff he's always right. I might have chosen a few different expressions, but at the end of the day it's up to him and without him we probably wouldn't see stuff like this for a long time, if ever (I certainly have been waiting for a high quality Geordi figure since TNG came out...).

Idunno. Honestly, I'm new here. And I just see this forum filled with passionate people and that can sometimes come out in a really unhealthy way, I might even describe it as very toxic when talking about Nanjin. Nobody is perfect. Blocking someone because of a photoshoped image is probably overkill. But at the end of the day, he's probably overworked and investing a lot in what might not be a profitable venture and he's clearly as passionate about it as many of the people here. And he might not be great at handling this public face stuff...

I'd probably hate to be in his shoes and make these things only to have people often say "ThE eXPreSSiON is UGLY!" or something.


I don't think the guy takes criticism well, but I also don't think any words anyone says on the internet is going to change anything about these figures. So I'm just going to not say anything to him heh. I'd also hate to be in his shoes with all the negativity.



I mean like half the posts here are about Nanjin instead of the figures.

Exactly. Even though I took great care to narrate that this is what I believed she would look like under optimal lighting conditions and not "here's how the figure SHOULD look" or anything like that.

And @StarDude I get what you're saying, and I'm sure you're right about how a person in his position must feel about things, but alienating a large portion of your customer base can't be the answer.

@QuiGonFishing Well, one's things for sure, no one is going to believe your posts about receiving figures early from Nanjin anymore.
