Fordo, right?

It's still very unclear what they mean by Clone Wars 20th. Looks like they either got mixed up or they just vaguely connected the shows as an excuse for releasing a bunch of clones. Although, unless I'm mistaken, Obi-Wan has been the only figure released under that tag.

What do you think of that Gentle Giant 1:6 Ackbar? I pre-ordered it just in case (more than likely the case) Hot Toys don't make it. Only 1000 pieces worldwide. As an alien I think he'd look okay as a statue. Would definitely have preferred mixed media, but as far as options for Ackbar go we're incredibly limited.

Yeah, he really was, as was the series.

As for Andor, I've really come around to it, prefer it to The Mandalorian at this point, and favour collecting from that show over anything from Mando season 3. I'm alright waiting for Andor season 2 though and getting closer to the Rogue One looks. I'd happily take a Two Tubes, Luthen, or Saw right now, however. Cassian and Mon Mothma I'd prefer closer to their Rogue One looks. Looks like we have Moroff coming back in season 2, so that's another cool alien for us to desire and Hot Toys to ignore.

That looks really awesome! I wasn't aware of that piece, but he'll definitely fit in with HT since he's 1:6. I'm not expecting a HT Ackbar, so I'd say it's a good pre-order. I think HT is a little light on alien species in general, so I'm not expecting much.

I still remember that first episode with the clones (I think it was ep 2 or 3). No dialogue whatsoever, just clones being military badassess with Fordo kicking major ass!

I only saw it for the first time myself last weekend. The best thing is it's very close to release. It's definitely worth the risk. With it being so limited then you could always sell it later on. I'm hoping they also do a Nien Nunb.

He looks fantastic, just need someone to make the DSII schematics projector

2003 Clone Wars is ridiculously under-served. HT are really missing an opportunity so far.
Would love 2003 CW obiwan in armour, Durge, Fordo (phase 1 and 2), Alpha class ARC trooper, Cody, Hawkbat Battalion clone, Grievous, ARC trooper heavy gunner, Ventress, Tattooed Anakin, Armoured Saesee Tinn, buff Kit Fisto, Scuba trooper etc etc

HT are missing nothing. They know Star Wars will be popular in 5 years same as in the next 30. There is no rush for them. Sadly for us. We all want XY characters that they will never gonna do or in very far in the future.

That takes me back to what I always say - HT needs competition so so much. Someone wealthy enough to buy SW license too. Which is fantasy right now.

Just saw that ROTJ is number 4 in the US box office. Plus there seems to be a real merch push from the toy companies. It seems Disney is taking full advantage of it. That's what gives me a bit of confidence Hot Toys will go further in the line than we're expecting.

Oh God yes Armoured Saesee! Also loved the design of Shaak Ti in that show. If they released nothing else then a CW animated style Grievous would be a real shelf-stealer. Maybe Sideshow could do it... and just re-release the exact same Grievous they've been making for the last decade Maybe that would make a better-looking statue come to think of it.

It includes all of Clone Wars, they're just using the micro series as the "start" of it. A bit weird, but an excuse for Lucasfilm to attach a shiny anniversary logo to all Clone Wars related merchandise.

My predictions that totally won't come true

Don’t come in here with your realism buddy You’re right, I could easily see three of your predictions being correct. Swap out Ventress for life-size Grogu and you might get a full house.

That Akbar is great. I mean what other pose would you be doing with a Hot Toys version anyway.

Paint is pretty good as well. Just the arm/shoulder joint is there. But nothing too bad.
