Do you ever say anything positive?

Anyway, I've given it a lot of thought. I've had the suit on and off probably 12 times, and I've decided I like this look. He's lean, and that's okay.

He just looks different than what you're used to with the fat pants.

You must have alot of patience my friend. Lol I had his suit off once . And I said to myself I don't wanna go threw that again. Getting the suit over his hips. Is a pita! Haha

Yeah, no doubt. I have to do it one more time at least, and I don't look forward to it.

Not sure about this exact pose, but I'm thinking a dynamic pose is the way to go for my long term display of this guy.

I'm glad you decided to keep this figure after all Mags. I think it's "pretty good" stock, but modified, it's definitely even better. I agree about going for a dynamic pose. On this scale with the solid ratchet joints and these faceplates + the ERS, there's plenty of options. Here's my [completely stock] dynamic pose attempt.

I think a modded QS001 has even more flexibility and could do it even better.

Mine just arrived today!!!!! all i can say is THIS IS MY FAVORITE FIGURE OF ALL TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:yess::):clap:):clap:):yess:

This thing is just amazing!!! Blows away Enterbay's IMO. Not even close. All the tiny details this has is just awesome!!! Just love the sticky bomb gun says 02:30 in the timer.:) All the weapons have moveable parts and just done with the very close attention to the smallest details.

Easily the best likeness to Bale thats been done IMO. Plus all the cowl face plates are great. Its kind of funny now seeing their first promo pics of this and how cartoony he looked. And then they give us this MASTERPIECE. Plus at this 1/4 size Im really impressed on the articulation and would look forward to more 1/4 size figures. When I got the Enterbay Batman, I just didnt like how stiff he seemed and a bit on the cheap side IMO. Just didnt feel like an almost $400 figure. But this Hot Toys version definitely feels like its worth it.

Even the box is beautifully constructed. Although i think they could have gone without the 3D head of Batman on the cover of it, but other than that, I just love the packaging.

1/4 HTs Batman is a 10/10 for me. Even though I know the cape isn't perfect, I think the rest more than makes up for it, and you can get a custom cape if you want. Its an easy fix that doesn't involve any modification or anything to the figure itself.

Lastly, ill just say their entire TDKR line was just awesome!! DX 12, Bane, Selina, plus ill include the Joker 2.0. They have really been putting out amazing Batman figures. Commish Gordon and 89 Batman, Joker, and Mime Joker are all tops in my book as well.:)

sexy picture buddy, loving it. you're the reason, why i just can't say no to this figure. i don't know what it is, but when i look at the stock pictures, i'm just not feeling the figure. i always wanted to display both 1/4 batmen, and i'm still in awe with my eb batman. this one haven't touched my heart from what i've seen of all these pictures and so i passed all the time of purchasing him. but your modified batman looks absolutely beautiful, i love that clean look of it. it's a lot of money, and again it's necessary to modify it to look alright... ah decissions decissions... ^^

Just opened mine today and set him up, awesome figure but the cape was a pain to put on and I came close to lobbing this through the window :lol

Thanks.

My honest opinion: if I could go back in time, I wouldn't buy this figure again. I feel the same as you about the stock figure, and although he modifies better than the DX12, it just feels wrong cutting on a $500 figure. You get used to it as you go, but it just shouldn't have to happen. For me, it doesn't feel like $500 well spent.

That said, I do really like the figure now. Modified, it's miles better than my modified DX12. So much better, I don't even like to look at the DX12 anymore.

Interesting! What about the chest piece, Maglor? Can it be tighter, made to appear slimmer to the body?

Yep. There are firm foam pads behind the chest plates that can be removed. Definitely an important companion mod to narrowing the shoulders and eliminating the belly. Without doing those, the chest might look a little flat though...

IF you like EB's 1/4 Batman, your going to love this one. IMO its 10,000 times better. really not even close I think. I never liked the EB figure from the first min I got it, it felt very cheap to me. They make amazing headsculpts, I will give them tons of credit for that, but the rest of the figure I just never liked that much. from the cape being way off, and the belt riding too high, and very tough to pose. and the thin armor, etc etc....

I also purchased and Enterbay Jordan and sold it within a week. Again felt really cheap to me. And glad I did sell it when I did because they are now way below retail price. I made a little profit when i sold mine.

HTs 1/4 Batman is like a whole other animal to me. Far better quality. The suit looks and feels like what his suit would be like in the film. it really fits his body well. And the posing it outstanding. And the sculpts look very life-like. You look at him and no doubt its Bale, especially the cowled sculpts. The cape is of course not perfect, but its probably the best cape they have done for TDK Batman. and I got it to flow nicely over his shoulders that looks good in person. I dont customize my figures, so i have no desire to get a custom cape. Im very happy with what it came with. And accessories are beautifully made. Light-up EMP gun, to the grapnel gun, to all the belt accessories. And Sticky Bomb gun is awesome too!! Most have moving parts as well. And atleast there was some creativity with the stand. Enterbays is a very very cheap stand.

Is the figure 100% movie accurate...no, but its damn close. None of these figures ever will be because its a "figure", its not a real person in a screen used suit with real props. Your never going to get 100% accuracy with any figure because its a toy scaled down 1/4 or 1/6 size, with joints and generic toy plastic body. People need to get over it, but i know they never will... :lol

And yes the HTs figure is expensive, more than EBs, but in my opinion deserves to be far more expensive by a good amount. Its like night and day to me. I just really hope HTs makes a Begins 1/4.

Once you see this in person, you will be impressed. To me, if people aren't, then I don't know what will make anyone happy with anything. :)

^ I really like my Hot Toys 1/4 but I can't say if it's better to me than the Enterbay Begins-suit version--yet. The general consensus here seems to be that the Enterbay one is a better quality build, and besides the belt issue and in incorrect placement of the cape clips, it requires much less modding than the HT to improve accuracy. I can't compare them directly for myself yet (my Enterbay will arrive today), but before even getting them side-by-side, I confirmed for myself that the Hot Toys one was a little short...in most production shots of Bale in the TDK/R suit, his kneepads aren't touching his boot tops as they are on the stock figure--there's supposed to be a little space there. So that's the first mod I started with because it's pretty simple to do and I'm not that experienced at modding figures. I'm following the pros in the 1/4 mod thread for the more advanced stuff with the undersuit and the trimming and rearranging of the foam padding.

I like both figures, both have excellent quality, but I prefer the Enterbay Begins.
Both needed heavy modding and I really like to mod my figures the way I want them. I got the best from the Enterbay, it looks perfect to me now, but I am stuck with Hot Toys.
I just can't stand the undersize cowl and neck. The sculpt is great, no doubt, but the cowl looks so tiny specially from the side.
The only option for it to look best is a bigger cowl, but that is a mod I can't do. I had the crazy idea of cutting one of the Enterbay's cowl neck and with some sanding and resculpting, achieving a similar TDK cowl. Too risky and time consuming. I just hope some of the brilliant sculptors on the forum make a new neck and cowl. I hate Hot Toys for not making the perfect TDKR figure after so many attempts, even if they were done in 1/6.
Enterbay just got one chance for a Batman figure and it was a success. And don't forget about the price, Enterbay's is cheaper and justified, can't say the same about Hot Toys.
