There is no CHARACTERS in RoboCop 2. All characters died in that franchise after Paul Verhoeven, Edward Neumeier & Michael Miner left it. The designs are there though :dance

What will be the major improvements HT will make on the re-issue Robocop?

I missed the first and don't know a lot about the flaws it had.

Ohhhh I see... Well I still like the sequel coz it came out with some great ideas and plot was pretty cool even considering that FM screwd the script with his exaggerated nonsense and film was doomd at this point already. I'm not a ROBOCOPII hater at all so maybe THIS is muh main problem here :monkey2

The new one will probably have improved head-body proportions, more accurate to the film. Robocop has this huge upper body and a small looking head in the film which the old HT figure didn't get exactly right. The shape of the helmet always seemed wierd to me too but it could be that other companies got it wrong, not sure about that. The old figure also had a silly looking stalk neck which will hopefully be improved. With the advancements they've made in skin and skin texture, even if they don't have Weller's likeness rights (hopefully they do), the human mouth will look much more realistic.

Then it comes down to what it will come with, what interchangeable parts etc.

Pretty sure its going to a beast of a figure.

Thanks that is really insightful. I am sure all of the above if obvious flaws will be corrected :pray:

I am pretty sure this will be my only HT purchase in 2012 but thats fine with me! So excited for more news from HT on this.

Looks like every previously released figure will be re-released by HT soon. They are definitely learning from Hasbro.

Yep, we got a reveal head... but not one anybody would want to reveal :lol

I was happy just to stick to the OG Robocop figure.

In a case like this its pretty clear to me that the older figure would be done much better at todays standards and its clearly a worthy character with a big fan base - much like the old Predator 2 with the He-man proportions.
