Vallejo Air Black which I airbrushed on with everything else masked. I should say I masked with cardboard and rubber gloves I had rather than applying tape directly to anything.

I have a dilemma, seems sideshow doesn't have anymore replacement parts for Batman. So they only gave me two options send it back and get a full refund or get $35 gift card. I was thinking of sending it back and reordering him but I'll probably be waiting next month for the new one. My second thought is to buy another one and just use this as my customized version but that means I'll have to paint the cod piece which isn't really a big deal, but in all honesty I just wanted to stick with the one. Lol

Yeah that's why I don't feel like sending it back I'll probably just take the $35 gift card. I'll just do what OT did and paint it to cover it up. I'll get a second figure to keep stock, and mod the **** out of this one. Lol

There was an HL reseller store that listed their dx19 second batch for 2023. Be prepared for that.

I have heard that the Hot Toys that release on time are generally ones that haven't sold a ton. I don't know if that's true, but if it is, and this one underperformed, then I would be worried that the post release demand may not be enough for them to produce more or they already paused production and are going to have to start a new run to meet the new demand. I know if I wouldn't let go of a copy of the figure with that question mark looming.

I get a sense a lot of people were waiting for final product photos to pull the trigger on this and HT is struggling to adapt.

I also wonder if this figure should have been delayed along with Snowspeeder Luke, Clone Wars Anakin, Moff, and the Dark Troopers but InArt pressure led Hot Toys to release a small early batch to remain relevant.

I ordered this through BBTS the day they posted it, but I'm pretty sure BBTS relies on Sideshow for stock, so I'm in the waiting game, but can safely say, however much has been put out now, they've yet to even meet outstanding overseas orders, let alone new ones that came with the first in hand shots.

Well, just got this guy unboxed and ran into some issues with the PERS sculpt. Gouge/dent on the nose and white rub on left cheek - pinged sideshow and got a quick response that they’re out of spare parts for this guy I’m not returning this figure over this, so the gift card it is lol so unless I find someone selling a DX19 PERS cowl, who’s making the custom head sculpts again??

To be fair pretty much every batman release has been prone to these type of scuffs due to the nature of the finish and material.

Even the TDK suit from PrIme1 and Queen Studios had issues with scuffing.

This figure will be like Cap and take months to fully fulfill. SS will continue to get little bundles of stock. Sometimes AE and BBTS can take 3 or more months to fulfill their orders. AE is still waiting on Tank Trooper.

This stuff is pretty common but annoying when it's somewhere prominent like the ridge of the nose. I've been fortunate to find pristine copies of my favorite figures but they are definitely the exception.

I wouldn't mess with any of the custom cowls for this right now as they're all a significant downgrade IMO and I have them all except Ben Choi.

It would be much better to gently sand and repaint this cowl than buying a new one. I'd even be willing to offer that service for owners of this since the character is important to me and I want people to have a good copy of it.

Jaxon is making a sculpt just go with that until your able to get a spare Cowl off ebay once he fully releases.
