Yep. And I can’t remember where I heard it or when I heard it but somewhere someone from Hot Toys said the hair would be changing.

What’s interesting to me is I believe this is the first time we’ve seen any indication that Hot Toys is using 3D modeling.

I was thinking that myself, maybe they have some artists using hand sculpting and some using digital now?

Hmm, pretty similar. Perhaps Inart has more texture. Not enough to make me drop Hot Toys at the moment. Haven't had a final product yet from them to determine how good their materials or their paint apps are.

Completely agree. When I look at the HT image with that hair, I see Pattinson's face under Kurt Cobain's hair. Maybe it's just the angle.

If you have the time, it's definitely worth waiting this out to see how it goes. My first HT payment isn't until March, 2023, so no hurry here.

Once all of the likeness issues have been sorted out, there's still the issue of the QS accessories and the pricing. It's actually quite conceivable that the base QS batman could have more accessories and be competitively priced to the base HT figure.

I think people might be interpreting these Queen Studios sixth-scale figures as cheaper than they are because they're not seeing the 24% Sideshow tax added on top. Queen's standard edition Joker would be a $400 figure if it were available at Sideshow, and likewise Hot Toys The Batman has to be about a $225 figure for buyers in Hong Kong.

Of course at the end of the day all that matters is the final cost after tax, shipping, imports etc to get it to your doorstep.

If Hot toys starts feeling real pressure they will just spend more money to get all the exclusive licenses to eliminate the competition. This is what EA sports has done with madden. It's a real bummer.

I'm loving this. Clearly this is in response to QS being on the scene with the same figure. Have Hot Toys ever done something like this? I remember a long time ago they did at times communicate with fans, but even then it wasn't a lot.

Just recently with Scarlet Witch.

I'm not so sure this is in response to Queen though, Hot Toys showed off a revised sculpt before Queen. It seems more like Queen is throwing a subtle jab at Hot Toys this time around

Yeah if anything I think it's because they saw how good the messier hair looked on the Prime 1 statue and wanted to emulate that.

And I wouldn't be surprised if they decide to tweak and improve the sculpt as well. They've certainly done it before.

To say the truth same, I liked more brushed look on the previous proto. This is 100% Prime 1 Inspired upgrade. I think they upgraded whole sculpt, eyes look different and likeness seems improved.

Happy to see this new head sculpt for Hot Toys. Way better than the last effort. Glad I preordered the whole set. Now I've just gotta make up my mind about the bike...

Why give up the NRD now? Just keep it for now then if its delayed you can get your deposit back.

It's good they are doing this but I doubt many of us would display him without the cowl anyway. The figure that badly needs an update is Peacemaker but no other company is making him so I guess they don't care.

Please QS announce a Batman Begins figure so HT update that abomination of a figure they announced last year.

I am glad they have updated the hair on the unmasked head sculpt. I just hope they make the skin tone less tan on the final product. Robert is a super pale person. Plus darken the black on the eye makeup. Prime 1 Studios really is the best unmasked head to date. Fingers crossed Hot Toys will look like that for the final product.

They actually changed it! Wow I guess QS is pushing them to do better I love seeing this unfold. Lol I was considering cancelling HT if I love how QS Batman turns out but I might just keep it after all and have two figures. Lol

Lets see how QS Joker turns out but definitely should push HT to new heights if they want to keep market share.
