The Batman (June 25, 2021)

Movie looks really good and it seems like a better take for Riddler. I am hoping this movie delivers a Batman who is a Detective and a cast of villains who don't die in the first movie.

Yeah, I seriously think it looks awful. Batinson looks awful (I don't like him at all as either Bats or Brucie), his car and moto look awful, Catwoman and Riddler are laugh out loud bad. Penguin is the only character that looks ok..

Think how good the original SS looked in trailers. This is most likely showing you the best bits. So much I expect will be roll your eyes cringey and bad. This is still WB after all. They still have NO clue what the heck they are doing. The trailers shown look so dark, yet it's still PG13. So how "dark" can it really be? There will be loud explosions, and people being beat up, but not enough for you "R" fans that want to see blood... They need parents to bring the kiddies.

Plus, there is no way this will top Nolan's BB & TDK (TDKR sucks). Not even come close.

Just more DC crap.

The original Suicide Squad? That was a whole thing. About how the trailer was like a bait and switch. And it came out that they hired a company to get the trailer to give it a certain feel. Then the movie happened. Even the director talked about it.

Is everyone here blind DC fanboys and forgetting about all the past crap WB gave us? I don't how anyone can be excited about anything from DC/WB until it's out and you go see it or watch/read trusted reviews/friends word of mouth...

They can go back to making crap after this. But then, the world is a pendulum... and since the MCU is making more crap than good these days, maybe its time DCEU makes more good than crap?

Seriously? His costume isn't a joke? A green hoody with a green raincoat with a question mark painted on and a gimp mask? And some black gloves and jeans. Definitely created by the smartest guy in the room. Must be the glasses?

How in the world can any Batman fan take this seriously?

And no he doesn't need to be ridiculous like Jim Carrey's Riddler. A simple Green suit, green hat, and a cane with a question mark. That is more realistic and real world than this.

Same criticism of the Batsuit. Batman is Year 2 and this might be Year 1 Catwoman.

The trailer shows Bats and Catwoman fighting, but I hope that isn't much of a fight, and that Bats makes quick work of her. She's 5'2 and weighs 95 pounds. It's embarrassing. Hawkeye never recovered after he lost to Blackwidow in the first Avengers film. They tried giving him tattoos and a ridiculous haircut and made him a "badass" assassin, but nope, still trash.

I'm still hoping for the best. Worst thing in this movie so far to me is the run time. That could make a good movie... just long and boring with a few good scenes.

I don't like the batsuit either. I don't mind Bruce Wayne so far. Catwoman and Riddler costumes are hideous. I know they're also aiming for something grounded here but so did Nolan and yet he was able to come up with more interesting costume designs. Even Scarecrow who has the most pedestrian costume in Nolan's movies looked more intimidating than winter/rain gear Riddler here.

Honestly I agree about the costumes but I believe they this is the henchmen look for riddler and not the actual riddler. If you look at the trailers none of them show his face. Perhaps it’s like a front?

The test audience reaction seems to say it’s a horror movie and I hope that’s the case. Idk. We will see
