A Prequel Palpatine seems very likely eventually, even if it’s years down the road.

You may just want to get a second of this now at normal price if you’re considering it so you’re prepared for his arrival.

Looks good. Just wish they hadn’t given them that prominent black mark on the helmet. Really stands out.

That’s my only gripe with this figure is that black mark. Looks good otherwise, I’ll snag at least one

This figure is tough. It looks great and I definitely want 2. If they do fox and sidious, then I need more. Also, the price is $220 which compared to other releases isn’t terrible. I may just burn $100 in rewards and get three. Also, I’m insane.

They can also guard Tarkin or other characters down the road with the way Disney releasing animations. Best to get two

Makes sense with this coming so soon.

I have 1 on order, don't see the need for me to get multiple of these at the moment like the 501st, plain white or the 212th.

Now..if they tease Commander Fox sometime this week...

To me these guys seem like they should be at least bought in a pair. That’s the only reason I hesitate because I’m not sure if I want to buy more than one. The 501st is a little easier to only get the one because you can pair him with Rex eventually.

Spot on. I got two 501st troopers to display flanking Anakin.

I really love the look of the Coruscant Guard figures, but without Fox or Padme to display them with, I’m not going to get them.

It’s a good example of Hot Toys hurting their own sales.

I agree. To me though, these are rots shock troopers. I really want to display with sidious.
I figured he was an easy redo of palpatine. Hot toys doesn’t seem to think so.

It's a double edged sword. A lot of people will pick and choose if HT announce a set of figures together. You probably won't lose $ down the road if you decide to sell one of them

I was not anticipating these to drop so soon. I've got the Speeder Bike, 2x Deluxe Clones, and 2x of these troopers all hitting in the short term future.

It's funny seeing a clone trooper in an Iron Man pose... ^^^^^

Showed up early, but it's a trooper like the 501st, just different deco, so not totally surprising. The blogger shots actually look decent for this one. Some really show off the deco and it looks promising. I hope it's more effective than the deco for Cody was. I know that figure is a home run for a lot of folks and while it's a really good looking figure, the deco's application looks a little too planned and applied, not random and acquired through combat, almost too perfect.

This trooper looks a little less overdone and that's what I was hoping for, especially since this is really an update of the Shock Trooper to me. The Sideshow one was fun for it's time, but the almost "applied by sharpie" look is way overdone and the vinyl undersuit is dated.

It this new HT version features the ratcheted joints and other similar features to the 501st,, I'll be pleased that I ordered one. Of course, considering that I am still awaiting figures that I ordered months before this one, I'd be surprised to see this up in my neck of the woods before next year,

I forgot I could still display them flanking Tarkin in the meanwhile, just like in the Bad Batch.
