I know... but the funny thing is, the ruler does include the large stand in the SS picture... making the Mk I look like 1/8th scale.

HT could've knocked it out of the park with a new headsculpt and TS captive version deluxe 2 pack. Instead they chose to be lazy....again. 10 year old headsculpt? I'll pay 10 year old prices but since that won't happen....PASS!

The desire of ever having a close to properly scaled diecast Hall of Armor MK 1-7 died today. It's NEVER going to happen.
I can keep my 2.0 MK1 with the rest knowing that my IM lineup is as complete and good as it is going to get.

I feel bad for those people who sold their 2.0s in anticipation of this. Maybe y'all need to hit ebay quickly and re-buy your 2.0 for cheap.

$450 for a 9 year old figure reissued but with some metal. Hot Toys is the only company that gets away with this ******** on stuff that cost so much.
God forbid they actually take the time to make a new sculpt or improve the figure after almost a decade.

June 12 - Super excited with the announcement, June 14 - Massive disappointment with the reveal.
So Mark I is essentially scaled to be 5'11" and Mark 85 is scaled to be 6'5". New suits are stretching Tony out. The scale is disappointing enough for me, but if they really didn't upgrade anything from a figure released more than 9 years ago - that makes it even worse.

And they've convinced people that metal is somehow worth the extra cost, despite the fact that knockoff companies throw in diecast pieces for figures where Hot Toys even doesn't on sub $100 figures/statues.

Exactly my point. Why would I want a 1/7 or 1/8th scale figure? It looks out of place even as a stand alone. After several years owning a 2.0, I compared a new standard Stark head to the Mark 1 head and the pinhead 2.0 quickly lost its luster. It’s teenager sized at best.
I thought you meant this new Mk I would be better in proportions. Which clearly it is not. So perhaps I misunderstood -- you are not getting any Mk I. That is the smart play.
They need to just call this a straight up reissue. Even the “upgrades” that are driving up the cost are worthless.
Who cares about a running motor at the back of a figure you have to plug in to operate? What in the world were they thinking. Huge, HUGE missed opportunity for HT to make a truly nice MK1.
Other than their Indy this is the most disappointed I’ve ever been in a figure from HT.

Damn that really sucks about the size. Although I guess it's understandable given the armor is being placed around an actual 1/6 Tony figure, which makes it harder for HT to scale things up the way they've done with previous diecast armors.
I think the bigger problem is with how oversized those other armors are.

They are just buying time releasing these BS figures waiting on the next Marvel movie phase to kick in, they wont be going anywhere anytime soon.
