Is this a new sculpt or a modified one?

Someone already said this, he really needs the racing helmet. This should have been the first Marvel DX. The track suit should be a lot more weathered at this point and it would be cool if there was a diorama base with the car wreckage and effects to create the scene with his arm on fire, to give a few more display options.

The description says, "Newly developed battle damaged head sculpt". I think it's the best Tony sculpt they've ever done, and seems to succeed at capturing him at the correct age for the film. I feel like they should use this for the Mech Test Tony and just change the hair.

It's the same guy who did the damaged 85 sculpt and that's one of the best as well. I really wish they'd have another go at the mech test...it's the only head sculpt I'll have on display.

Honestly after Falcon Cap came in at $375 I was a bit surprised this was “only” $350 given how intricate all of these bits and bobs are going to be.

I feel the whole presentation looks rather bulky... and kind of gives away the fact that his body would never fit into a sleek Mk V armor.

Maybe a finished (sealed) bottom half with the top portion of the torso still closing up would have sold the idea better.

It's quite impressive, but a quick check of the product specs show that it's half an inch shorter than the diecast Mark V (12.2" vs. 12.7"). Given that people will likely pose them together, it seems weird not to have them match.

That's one thing I was wondering about, but 1/2" isn't as much as I thought it was going to actually be.

I think think looks pretty fantastic and cool, but I'll pass since I've got plenty of other stuff to blow money on. Maybe next year if I've built up a bunch of points or something. I think the headsculpt is terrific.

Another weird thing, is Hot Toys treating the hundred MMS as like the Marvel DX line or something? How this isn't a DX release is kind of beyond me. I don't mind the price as much seeing as just Tony would be $240-250 and there's a hell of a lot of new parts to make the suit parts. Couldn't definitely used a larger stand though than the simple rectangle one I think.

I’m surprised it took so long for Hot Toys to do the race suit Tony to be honest. Looks pretty good, but I’m mostly out of collecting Marvel figures.
