Wow... 8 minute rant about nothing.

Shouldn't he be more upset that Ford is ruining Ford? Or that the whole idea of this movie is asinine to begin with? Worse, it is a clear money grab. Ford needs some money, liked his SW payout and wants more, and says he's up for another Indy so the forces that be slam this into production with no one rally being onboard.

There's no name that could be associated with this that would give me confidence it will be a good movie.

Mangold? See Patty Jenkins.

On the plus side, they haven't brought back Shia LaBeouf.......yet. :D

But yeah, barring some kind of miracle this is a hard pass.

She was the voice of Landos droid in Solo.

Ah, yes. A lot of people had a problem with that. I thought she was funny. :dunno

Agreed... I couldn't get past half of it. He was actually ranting about the title saying "female lead", I mean what the hell is it supposed to say? She's not the lead, that's Harrison Ford, so she's the female lead... Oh well... unless the trailer is mind-blowingly good I doubt I'll be in a hurry to see this.

I got no problem with Bridge. Maybe she's the youngest girl they could find that was willing to be in this mess.

John Williams being back is.... well, yeah, good, fine... he's not exactly making the same rousing scores he used to... but, yeah, nice to see his name in the credits before more of the same.

Something new would be nice...

I wonder if not having Spielberg at the helm will seem jarring? Never have we seen Ford's Indiana Jones in the hands of another director. It could be a very good thing... or it could just add to the disaster this is more likely to be.

He doesn't need more money. He's an artist who wants to explore the complexities of his characters one more time for a new generation to enjoy. No, but seriously, he doesn't need the money. At this point, at his age, why would money be a motivation? If anything, it's a senior part time job for the guy, like those old people you see working at Walmart, except, he knows he can get 20 or 30 million dollars to dress up in an 80's Halloween costume and say some stupid lines. I don't think it's even about the fame or staying relevant because he's not the type to seek attention, never has been. He's not on social media or business driven like Stallone or Arnold. Those guys are attention whores...in a good way.

Right, so its about the money.

And how do you know he doesn't need the money? He crashes a lot of planes. His insurance must be through the roof. He likes nice things. Who doesn't need 20 million if its just laying there for the taking? Now.

These were taken a few weeks ago, Ford was biking on vacation in MX. He's taking his Indy 5 training seriously.

78 years old....

Those old people aren't working because they want the money. They just want something to do. For Ford, I'm sure it's just free money to get out of the house. His net worth is estimated at $300 mill. I'm sure he can afford a few more crashes and insurance. :lol

I?ve said this before, but this could be a really good movie if they give us more ?Indy in the White Tux? type stuff. Or ?Indy in the Library, X marks the spot.? At his age, that?s the stuff we need. I don?t want to see a 79 year-old punching Soviets or chasing 60-year old women.

They just announced that Biden will be playing Indy’s sidekick in this :yess:

They also just announced that Centrum vitamin company will be making collectibles for this under their Centrum Silver line :yess:

Every figure comes with embolism stockings!

I hear it's a heist movie set in a museum. Retired Indy moonlights as a docent and he gets locked in after dozing off while on the toilet. He wakes up mid-theft and foils the robbery, beating the thieves senseless with his cane while they're doubled over laughing at the ridiculously high waistline of his grandpa pants.

It won’t be worse than the last one that’s for certain lol

You are so wrong. This film will most likely take place in the 1960's, and Indy's co star is a young WOman. She'll be a 60's feminist and will tell Indy that he's an out of date relic and a male chauvinist Republican who can't accept change. It's going to be so ugly. I bet Indy gives his hat to her too, unlike in KOTKS. :lol
