So theoretically, before making the jump to command, would Spock have sported the light green for the sciences?

Speaking of the turtleneck colours, this range of uniforms seemed to have the most variations to distinguish the different departments, beyond the simplistic three-colour Command, Sciences and Operations:
White - Command.
Light Green - Sciences, Medical.

Nanjin is posting his Picard prototype wearing the FC vest look. It's cool but will he also offer Picard in his regular duty uniform as well?

Darn it! I cannot stand Facebook but now I have to go over and check it out. I swear I think 99% of the time I have gone to Facebook in the past 5 years has been to see Nanjin’s updates.

Same here. I don't use Facebook at all. (except to check on Nanjin/EXO- 6 stuff...)

And for the record, I'm a fan of "ST-TMP" but if I just had the Enterprise "reveal" scene (Scotty flying Kirk to the Enterprise), it would be enough.

The refit Enterprise is THE main character in that film. One of, if not THE most beautiful starships in any Sci-Fi series/film.

Same for me. Star Trek was on every Sunday thanks to my dad but these red, Naval uniforms say "movie Star Trek" for me and are a must; although truth be told I'll only buy Spock. And the next TOS Spock that's being released to go with my other one. Working on a Spock shelf it seems.

So theoretically, before making the jump to command, would Spock have sported the light green for the sciences?

Even in TOS there was a delineation between 'Sciences' and 'Life Sciences". McCoy was stated to be the head of life sciences. It might be interesting to speculate where the dividing line might be.

Biology, Bio-physics, Astrobiology/Xenobiology/Exobiology, and Bio-chemistry might fall under life sciences.

Exo-zooology, Ecology, and Botany might fall within planetary sciences which would be Spock's remit?

On the other hand, Spock could be McCoy's direct superior and there might be equivalent department heads for Physical Sciences, Planetary Sciences, and Space Sciences.

And of course once the door opens for movie Spock figures, I hope the meditation robes will be visited.

I think it would be weird if the figure is offered in the vest only and not the duty uniform as well. Ideally the figure will have an interchangeable outfit.

No leisure wear for me. Just uniforms.

On that subject, some of their off-duty ensembles were more camp than the Blue Oyster.

Kirk's blouse was pretty daring...

...but I think the award should go to Chekov's 'Little Boy Pink' number:

Wow... who was the costume designer on that show.

Interesting to note that Robert Fletcher was the costume designer for the first four Star Trek films. IMDB doesn't list anything after The Voyage Home, apart from a reference to the original costumes in the fan series New Voyages: Phase II.

Maybe those leisure suits ended his career?

Ha yeah it's easy to see why Walter Koenig was not a fan of that costume. Fortunately he was able to get a whole new look in the next movie with that leather jacket.
