Monkey Depot always shows as in stock until you click the add to cart button, then it refreshes to say the item is no longer available.

It was like that, but a few days ago it was available to be put in cart to checkout again. Cocoboloboy and I must've been on the site at the same time. It was a really small window.

i saw it in stock too when they said it was, i was just curious. i was a last minute pre order from sideshow and got lucky i squeezed in last push before their arrival, i mean heck they pushed pack my flex payment back to the end of june at first if that?s saying something at the time. i was desperate and paid the balance and got in with their big batch

Yeah I think I?m gonna pick up 2 Death Troopers from Mando. I?ve never bought 2 of the exact same figure/trooper before but I feel like you just need 2 for this guy.

Yeah, it was actually in stock a few days ago at MD. You could put it in your cart. They must’ve had a really small amount available.

A couple more of Krennic and his best buddy...

I think I much prefer the fabric and cut of Krennic's uniform compared to Tarkin's. The cloth seems thicker and closer to the woolen texture of the actual tunics, while it also comes down much lower below his waist, which I think gives a better look. Perhaps the costume designers on R1 didn't fuller replicate the OT uniforms, but I think the figure has a nicer silhouette (although it's a shame the cape rides up on the shoulders and the collar is oversized).

KG Hobby just emailed to say that HT cut their order.

I ordered two, but they can only supply one. However, they can try to source another from elsewhere.

Yikes. Looks like it likely wasn’t PopCultcha making a mistake with their order then. I wonder if this will lead to a second run or if they’ll just move on.

If this is going to become a regular thing with HT, then it's an incentive to pre-order as early as possible.

Yet why short a figure as popular as Krennic? It does lead me think that there will be a second run at some point, once HT has cleared enough of their backlog.

Damn. This hobby is becoming stressful. Hopefully they can at least honor single orders. Still waiting on news about my Crait Luke from KG as well.

Even if pre ordering day 1 does not guaranty a figure, gonna have to evaluate my options.

Indeed.

Still awaiting Crait Luke, too.

Their email implied there was more than one order being fulfilled soon, but I forgot to ask them what else was arriving soon when I replied.

we are sending u the new arrival
but for krennic , currently our order is cut

Emailed them as well enquiring about Crait Luke availability last friday. They confirmed invoices would be sent by today. Still nothing in the mailbox though. I'll be relieved when i finally get both Krennic and Luke invoices... then, seeing they are apparently in short supply as well, i'll anxiously wait for both "Solos".

I could dispense with Luke, but I really want those two Solos. :panic:

Uh i can answer this for you: Worldwide Pandemic

This is not only a problem with Hot Toys but with any toy manufacturers, i have pre orders from March that have not come through as of yet. Lego out of all of them have been extremely limited with their orders, and if it?s any indication of what happened to them, i can tell you that global trade is the main cause.

lego has factories in mexico and right now since mexico shut down their factories no supplies and parts are coming out, i thought i had a chance to get Pirates of Barracuda bay for like two months and it?s still sold out with no official word. The blue ranger from
the lighting collecting squeezed in on amazon barely available but my order from gamestop is still ?waiting on product availability? since june 1st. the turbo grafx16 pre order windows are impossible to get and prices have skyrocket and keep getting pushed back until august now

We can either sit this one out and wait for hot toys to get their supplies and orders figured out(months) or jump the gun and get it before the price jumps up...

I collect other asian toys(bandai, tamashii nations) and forget ordering from Japan since they put a stop to everything coming out from there, it sucks being a toy collector but what can we do, not even pre ordering can guarantee a figure anymore!!! [emoji24][emoji24][emoji24][emoji24][emoji24]

There's no doubt the pressure of the pandemic has caused production problems. I get the feeling HT might be shorting production to allow other figures to get made. The effect would be to satisfy a wider range of collectors, but at the same time annoy a proportion of that wider range. They know they're not fulfilling orders so that implies second runs later, as it maximises profits from the moulds.

But as you wrote, it's not a certainty, and in the meantime prices are likely to rise.

I am also panic shopping also haha, the silence from manufacturers is scary right now, are they going to dump entire lines ?ala? bandai and abandon them or shift towards fewer and cheaper alternatives, This spike in covid will make it completely worse for the industry IMHO. heck they pushed tenet back and now they reclosing back the bars imagine the toy shops now [emoji24][emoji24][emoji24]

I think the issue is A LOT of people didn't order Krennic until recently. In a FB group I'm in, it was like 90% Marvel until Endgame hit and then everyone's selling their collections and diving headlong into Star Wars. So most of the people probably ordered after the factory order was put in. That was me though with the Solo figures, I only ordered both of them about a month ago. I'm fairly hesitant to think I'll get both of them, especially the Mudtrooper.

What would be really bothersome is if HT just cuts their production below the amount of orders given. If anything you would expect them to produce some extras to have, not less. It's just crappy to do to your customers.

I anticipated something like this. They told me Krennic would be end of June and Captain Marvel mid July but didn?t mention this. Based on this and the Popcultcha cancellations I got them expressed from toys wonderland and they have already shipped. I preordered them pretty early so if they do eventually come I will sell them on.

I ordered them the day they were listed, which was 14th January 2019.

At least I'm supposedly getting one of them. It wouldn't surprise me if Sideshow demanded more of the production at the expense of other retailers, the same way they stole the UK's consignment of QMx's Scotty and Sulu.
