Contra was an awesome game,one of my favourites during my childhood.

Have you tried Contra 4 on the DS? That is up there with Ghosts 'N Goblins as one of the hardest games I remember playing. After a number of attempts, I beat it on easy mode, but haven't even come close on medium mode. No 30 man code, tougher bosses and boards than NES Contra, just a ^^^^^ of the game all the way around.

For Me,nothing could ever touch the NES version of Contra ( as far as arcade style shooters go). The Xbox live release of the arcade version was alright, but it always felt like the game was missing something.

You've listed practically all of the games that I like! . Shadow of the Colossus, was by far, one of the best games for the PS2. It was very under-rated, in my opinion.
