So do I. I've been listening to purely movie scores since 2001. The Mummy Returns was my first bought score.

I really want to know why on TPM was released with a complete recording but no love for the other two. So much music was missing from the ROTS soundtrack. :banghead

I also have this and after I purchased it I kinda regretted it. It's kinda overkill, I mean I love the music but I really don't need to hear every single linear note in sequential order as it appears in the film. All I need is the main themes and I'm good to go. Same reason I skipped the LOTR complete recordings but I have the regular scores for SW and LOTR

Listen to them all the time. Jerry Goldsmith, Ennio Morricone, Basil Poledouris, John Carpenter, John Murphy, Charlie Clouser, Danny Elfman, James Newton Howard, Wendy Carlos, Tangerine Dream are some of my faves.

Morricone's "Sundown" from The Good The Bad and the Ugly is prolly my favorite piece.

I was trying to find some ennui moricone stuff at Bookman's (used trade/sell media store in the southwest) and couldn't find anything. Also was sure where to look.

What genre would he be under? Classical, soundtrack, international. Any recommendations for a "best of" album of morricone's stuff.

Should be listed under soundtrack.

Not sure what cds are still in print, I just get MP3s. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly & The Untouchables are good starting points. The Kill Bill sountracks also has his work on them.

Here is most of my collection. This is what I have on my computer, but there's a lot more of my physical CD collection that I haven't gotten around to backing up yet. I love buying/collecting the soundtracks and scores because it kind of builds on the movie experience for me. I also have a bunch of video game soundtracks that I'm not listing here.

There are quite a few different collections. Finding them in a store is a different story.

For The Good, the Bad and the Ugly and Once Upon a Time in the West I recommend picking up the complete scores.

That's what I was looking for. Thanks.

Pitu lives, sleeps and eats movie soundtracks ever since the day I met him like 9 years ago. :slap

Nothing wrong with that, I love movie scores.

I'll get into my collection later, but quick note, one of my favorites, Patrick Doyle, Donnie Brasco.
