Absolutely agreed!

I'm probably going to leave the reissue figure in the box while I have my OG on the new base  I suspect tracking down a parted out base is going to be very pricey.
Ideally that's what I'd do and be able to display both sides of that new base but as you say would be very pricey.

I'll probably goin to use the reissue for the bale sculpt 😁

Off topic:

I'm Trying to make some capes for my quarter scale figures and this is my first attempt on the hot toys one. think I'll going to try and make it a little bit longer

Nice setup! I like how you have EB Batman looming in the back.

What are you thinking of doing?

Agreed, it's a classic figure and it holds its own, even with current figures. Crazy how this figure is nearly a decade old!
It only needs a few tweaks 😎

Finally making a screen accurate dream of mine come true. WIP
Is that a complete new sculpt??

I'm also working on this guy while I wait for the re-release

I still need to repaint the suit

It's a neca 1/4 scale bootleg from ebay but it doesn't look that bad

It’s a scan of a screen used prop master that’s been modified to accept the chins and eye plate from a QS001

Looks so good. Do you think you’ll be able to do a similar thing for 1:6 or make a new sculpt? (Scanning this head again for smaller figure etc)
Your head structure is so much more accurate than hot toys.
Already almost done with it. My intention is to make one that accepts stock chins and eye plates or eye balls which ever is a better end result after some testing.

I think I can honestly say this is the most accurate recreation out there since it’s based on the real cowl.

Definitely the most accurate for sure. I’m happy there’s someone like you who can solve these issues no idea why hot toys can’t seem to fix them.

Almost every picture I’ve compared that hot toys forehead just really goes out of proportion.. it doesn’t even fit in the picture lol. Based on your 1/4 you already fixed the issue so cheers on that mate you’ve done this community justice haha.

The stock eyes seem pretty good especially with low lighting it makes it seem smaller than it is.

The only thing is bales chin is actually bigger and has a different shape (more linear) than the rounded version hot toys designed. (2nd pic) if ever it’s easier to just make a new headsculpt for us to paint I’m sure many will buy it.

Best of luck to these projects man whatever you make it will be worth it.
