I still have a boner :wave

Priapism (Ancient Greek: πριαπισμός), known also as Hulseyism, is a potentially harmful and painful medical condition in which the erect [male organ] does not return to its flaccid state, despite the absence of both physical and psychological stimulation, within four hours. There are two types of priapism: low-flow and high-flow. Treatment is different for each type. Priapism is considered a medical emergency, which should receive proper treatment by a qualified medical practitioner. Early treatment can be beneficial for a functional recovery. Potential complications include ischemia, clotting of the blood retained in the [male organ] (thrombosis), and damage to the blood vessels of the [male organ] which may result in an impaired erectile function or impotence. In serious cases, the ischemia may result in gangrene, which could necessitate [male organ] removal.

one can hope

I think this'll be more like the Batmans than the John Connor. ;)

I don't know about the market flooding with them. I don't think we've had a proper analogy with Hot Toys. DX Joker and Bats were strictly improved updates on the originals. A BD Arnold would be akin to the Bank Robber Joker, a completely different type of figure whose existence probably doesn't, in itself, affect the sales of the "traditional" suit Joker all that much.

Of course, if they produce these out the wazoo, then that's another issue, but it would have less to do with the battle damaged version being released and more with supply of the original version.

John Connor floods the market because the movie sucks.

:lol Only nam could find such a term. I would have just called it the side effects of Viagra.

WTF are you implying?! :tap

:lol

You're proving my point though. The original TDK Batman can be had for considerably less than MSRP simply because of the DX, despite the leaking. The original Joker is in the same boat and so is the original MKIII Iron Man. I think the BD T-800 will cause the same effect with this one. And so you know, I'm talking about 2nd hand figures, not new ones.

If BD Arnold is generally considered an improvement, and if people decide that they only need one T-800 in their collection irrespective of how different the available choices might be, then I would agree with you. But I don't know that this will be the case. It could be. People do tend to be fickle. . .I do think that subsequent releases will tend to cut down on general demand of new figures from the line, but that's another issue.

As for the price affecting 2nd hand figures, I think that goes for most reasonably popular HT figures, since they usually sell out.

I think they'll pull a Marcus Wright with the BD version. You'll have a swap-out arm and likely two sculpts; one showing just the bullet holes, the other the more significant damage. I'm definitely getting the BD version but should this one become available at a decent price, and it will, I won't hesitate to pick it up as well.

I'm thinking that HT will provide pieces to make 4 T-800 figures, but supply 2 invididual figures so you have to buy multiples of one or both in order to make them all.

He's right though. HT's already off to a good start with this already requiring 2. :lol

Perhaps they're planning the same for the T1000 somehow? Would only be fair.

This photo is perfect. So simple, yet shows how good this figure can look.

It looks like he also got the collar of the jacket to lay flatter against the body. In a lot of photos I've seen (most of them, really), the jacket doesn't sit well on the T800's shoulders and collar area.

I'm hoping/planning to make at least 3 HT T-800s from various pieces over the sets, depending on what it takes, maybe even 4.

For now, I want to have all black biker look with the shotgun, Cyberdyne gear, and BD, if the purchases require to put all the together leaves me with the option to build a semi BD figure I'll do that too.

Futzing is key, I remember the early shots of Wolverine, they had me thinking the jacket collar on him couldn't be made to fit snugly around his neck and look like the jacket in the movie, then I got mine and futzed it and it looked great. The trouble with gauging a figure from collector photos is that some will just pull it out of the box and snap away and for people willing to put a little futzing and tweaking into their figures, you don't get an idea of the potential a figure has after you do such things.

I always wondered why so many collars and ties look really bad. I suspect many really don't care :horror

I care. I hate when the clothes dont sit properly. The tailoring is my favorite thing about HT figs I've never even considered buying a fig with real clothes until I saw them. Always despised em :)

Thanks, Captain Obvious! You've saved my day again! :D I've wrote about the cloths in the prev. post. :) And posing him with another head turning doesn't solve the problem, there is still some slot from both sides. I'm talking that this figure as absolutely useless for customizers. If you're not changing anything in your figures - it's OK. But customizers will share my indignation.

:slap Sorry I didnt see the other post! I don't get it though why put it on a different body then complain that they dont fit properly? :dunno

Got mine today. Pretty sweet figure. I took a few quick photos, nothing fancy. Didn't have the time to play around with the accessories, so most of the pics are of one pose.

I really like him!

edit: Note, I didn't like how the jacket sat on his shoulders, and removing it and then futzing over and over didn't seem to work, so I added a wire behind the opening and lapels and the part of the jacket that goes around the neck (not sure what that part is called). That way I can control how closely the collar sits together. It now sits tighter than what is shown in HT's official pics.
