Quick question (and sorry for my ignorance): are the different heads and parts compatible between the V1 and the DX version?

Yes, all parts are compatible and in scale with one another.

The DX PERS head is a magnetic head and requires the DX magnetic neck (which is included). This neck goes right into the v1 body just fine.

The DX sonar head requires the DX light-up neck (which is also included). This neck also goes right into the v1 body just fine.

If you want to put other heads on (like a Bruce Wayne headsculpt), you can put it on the DX light-up neck, because that is just a ball joint, so that works just fine as well.

Bottom line: You get both necks, for both heads, and any other Hot Toys heads you want to use.
