Okay thanks. I will wait for Mars and second batch pics.

I bought the unlicensed Homelander with the 5 sculpts and wish I got the second batch for that one. Different "company" but let's be honest, these are bargain figures.

I'll be disappointed if the 2nd batch is different, like has a better hat or something. I just can't imagine they'd do that though.

Pics don't lie, that's pretty much what it looks like in hand. If you like the pictures, then you'll like the figure.

But its on the shelf where its unusual shape is best served. It's just so different than anything else.

That all said, waiting for Mars is probably the better call... unless you just can't wait any longer. When I ordered, it was 'bird in the hand' risk. Now that Mars has chimed in and told us what they are making, I would have likely waited.
What exactly are Mars including with their release, and will it have this particular wardrobe, or rooted hair?

Kit said it would be 2 outfits and 3 sculpts -- so likely Mayor and Sewer Penguin. No word on rooted hair; has Mars ever offered a rooted figure so far?

Not certain if this particular brown-fur coat included with the Eternal figure will be part of Mars offering but this one is wrong in multiple ways so not really useful.

Got mine~
I'll be taking more pics in a bit.

My Penguin has arrived and I am glad to say that it’s much better than I thought. Looks great on the shelf without too much effort. I purchased the $15 eBay hat and it fits like a glove. The new hat is in the pics on the right and the original hat is on the left. I used scotch tape on the inside of the hat so the felt material doesn’t bleed into the sculpt.

I am definitely happy with the purchase and I am happy to have it in the collection for now…

Congrats!

Hey, will you check your right relaxed flipper glove -- is there a strange X mark between thumb and finger?
I just checked mine. It's very faint, but I can see what you're talking about. I think those are seam lines that are showing through the outer coating/paint layer. It definitely looks like one line of the "X" corresponds with the thumb (i.e., it's a separate piece glued to the flipper hand) but not sure about the other one.

@Wor-Gar This is what mine looks like.

Thanks for that! I do see the X mark but it is much fainter on your than mine. See where the thumb seam line is? There is a faint mark that cuts across that, making an "X"... it's much more visible on mine. I also noticed it in Breda's video, pretty clear when he's handling the glove... so I guess its part of the sculpt somehow... luck of the draw how obvious it is.

Yep, thanks also for that. I just posted the same thought about the seam line. Not sure what the cross mark is though. Mistake or sculpt?

Yeah, I'm not sure about that cross mark either. I suppose it could be for aligning the thumb when it's glued on but there are much better ways to do that. But then again this isn't a high-end manufacturer we're dealing with here lol...

I think it's meant to be a sculpted wrinkle and not a very good one at that. It's unfortunate the mold seam runs across it too.

Well, thanks gentlemen! The mystery of the X has been solved.

No big deal I suppose, since like all of you, I'll be using the right gripping hand for the umbrella.

Le persone stanno solo cercando di prevenire il rimorso dell'acquirente o la cifra è veramente gestibile? Aspetto altre foto, il secondo lotto se possibile.
Maybe the question could be if you would wait some few years before the release of the Mars's penguin. I can suggest that Eternal is not a bad figure. Once it will be release also by Mars, with both figures in hand, I'l decide what I have to sell. Meanwhile I enjoy this one because it is the only solution at moment ;)

I'm a patient person 😉

Oh lovely...

Got him unboxed. Right hand joint came apart while using the hairdryer to swap hands but all's good~
Hat sucks but this guy's a gem. Your move, Mars.
