Man, you got some serious balls to do this.
Major repsect there, really.
I bow before your ingenius skillz.

Re: Custom Hot Toys Iron Man MKII Armor - Reverse Engineering WIP

hmm reminds me of that movie face-off ha ha
good idea though. i may try this out or another method when i get a spare war machine head.

Re: Custom Hot Toys Iron Man MKII Armor - Reverse Engineering WIP

Head problems...

So - the War Machine Rhodey head will NOT fit in the MKII helmet. The inside head is build so differently that it requires major resculpting.

I can't do that because I have to return Rhodey to his War Machine custom.

So - I hacked off The Tony Stark face and the Rhodey face and had to fill in the back of the Rhodey head to make it fit in the MKII helmet as seen below.

Don't expect to see a lot of these floating around... Unless someone ~cough~cough~ were to offer them up... Hmmm.

Re: Custom Hot Toys Iron Man MKII Armor - Reverse Engineering WIP

did you repaint the Rhodey head? It seems darker. Like so many of complained about the skintone being too light in your pics he looks good to me.
BTW Awesome work

Re: Custom Hot Toys Iron Man MKII Armor - Reverse Engineering WIP

Re: Custom Hot Toys Iron Man MKII Armor - Reverse Engineering WIP

Hey Greg Customs before applying silver color you should have puted sand on the figure in oreder to have a good paint result, or you had puted to much paint on it, oh well, it's too late for now :slap Because if looking at the figure close the paint doesn't look nice, the paint looks thick/dense :slap How many layers have you puted?

Re: Custom Hot Toys Iron Man MKII Armor - Reverse Engineering WIP

It's the clear coat - not the base color or the chrome. The higher gloss you have the better the reflectiveness of the chrome.

No sanding would have helped that.
