Yoda truky believed there was none left except Luke. Unless that was a retcon.
Even Yoda can’t sense every being from across the galaxy. And we saw that even Obi-Wan had cut himself off from the force in his exile.

By ROTJ there aren’t really even any other Jedi active anyway? Ezra is gone, Ahsoka still isn’t a Jedi anymore at this time, Cal Kestis probably dead.

If you look at the list of the survivors most of them are dead by that point, some moved on with their lives and started fresh.

But regardless - Luke was still the only one that could have done what he did, and that will always remain so.

How could anyone honestly think there wouldn't be a season 2. :dunno

They've committed to this **** story and they are not going to back off. That would be like admitting they were wrong and season 1 was ****. Regardless of how low the viewings were and the lackluster fan response.

Mando s1 and s2, for whatever reason, were so different in feel and tone than BOBF, Mando s3 and Ahsoka that they don't even feel like the same show/series. Thankfully, s2 of Mando could be considered a good ending for the series when Luke takes Grogu... The End.

Even though Mando s3 was a disappointment it had enough in it that I’d prefer a few more seasons of the series over a Mando film.
I’d be perfectly fine watching Mando and Grogu have cool episodic adventures around the galaxy for a few more years. The original Lone Wolf & Cub manga spanned 28 volumes and I never tired of it.

I mean, we can take issue with the quality of these shows, but I wouldn't expect them to all have the same tone and feel as Mando, which was meant to be a western.

Ahsoka was clearly going for the feel of a live action Rebels, which I thought they did fairly well.

Yes, Ahsoka feeling different is fine. It did feel like Rebels season 5, and I think that's part of the problem. It would of faired much better if it was exactly that, an animated season 5. Seeing some of the stuff they tried to translate to live action didn't fare too well. Someone skilled should redo & re-edit the series with cell shading and make it look animated.

But that doesn't excuse Mando s3 and BOBF. They should exactly look and feel the same as Mando s1 & s2.

What poor ratings lol. The show was pretty successful overall.

The ratings were ok. But good ratings mean nothing with low viewership..

Lower =/= low. High enough to get a second season :dunno. Regardless, it's a streaming show and will find more viewers over time. Just like Clone Wars and Rebels did.

Also no idea what time period that chart supposedly covers. Release day? Week? Month? Year? Everything ahead of Ahsoka came out before it.

People just seem mad that it's seemingly more successful than they wanted it to be, just because they dont like it personally.

That chart, if you read the top, is viewings for each series finale. And usually when the data is released, they span over a 5 day period giving fans time to watch. There are plenty of articles and charts out their about the abysmal viewership of some of these shows. Disney (and other streaming services) lies constantly about viewings to spin things in its favor. This was also one of the things included in the writers & actors strike. Being properly compensated for stuff like this. Remember, ScarJo sued Disney over Black Widow, cause they weren't including the same day D+ streaming in its BO revenue, so she was getting shafted on residuals.

But what this really shows is declining viewership with each episode. If you want to be entertained, look into Amazon's Rings Of Power. Something like only 30% of people who began watching that show ever finished it and watched all the episodes. SO it lost nearly 70% of its fan base over the seasons 8 episodes.

If this was network TV, those numbers would be huge. No show would ever be green lit for another season with a drop in viewership like that. You look for viewship to increase over time as word of mouth spread about a show and more people become interested and join in. A truly successful show has viewership increase over the duration of the show, not decrease. Just like any business, you look for quarterly revenue growth, not declines.

Lastly, I could care less. I cancelled my yearly D+ in December, and only watched Ahsoka over the last days. I'm out of the game. This stuff is all terrible. Disney even offered me $3/month for 6 months to re-subscribe. And gave me till July to take advantage. That's 7 months to think about coming back.

Fortunately TV series can survive on faaar lower ratings these days than they could in the past. And plus Ahsoka is Filoni's baby so Disney clearly wants to keep him happy.

For me series benefit from binge watching, rather than getting through them week by week out of necessity in order to avoid spoilers.

I liked Ahsoka for the most part first time round, but during a complete rewatch over the last couple of days I was struck by how good the music was. Also by the sound design, which often had an unsettling and ominous overtone.

The music and sound combined with the general cinematography served to create an epic quality, which they were obviously going for with the lead up to Thrawn's return "as Heir to the Empire".

That quality breaks temporarily with the introduction of the rock muppets, which I wish they hadn't included. The light relief was unnecessary and softened the danger of being isolated on inhospitable Peridea.

Remove the rock muppets and I think Ahsoka is much closer to Andor than TBOBF and OWK.

The final scene was a let down though. Ezra emerging still wearing the Stormtrooper helmet, creating an unnecessarily dangerous situation merely because it served the writers' purpose to add a little mystery and surprise.

But overall, as with the first watch, the series felt like it belonged in the canon, as opposed to TBOBF, OWK, the ST and most of the PT.

I liked Baylan and Shin plus Christensen's pretty good return in the Anakin parts but otherwise I thought it was utterly forgettable on first watch. I'm unlikely to give it another try to be honest. Same probably goes for any Star Wars in TV show format. Rewatching a movie can be done in one night so Rogue One and Solo, yes, but even Mando S1 & 2 I may never watch again.
