Thanks choombaz!
That looks kinda like the FA Chewie but with diff bandolier.
Wow, so far nothings come close to the OT version.

@TheClient, maybe they should start adding in a tiny pair of scissors along with that tiny brush lol.
If you go back through this thread and I think there is another custom thread as well, people have done some great work on this figure to make it look even better. I’ve tried, but I’ve never been particularly happy with it. It is still, however, with no mods, the best 1/6 Chewie there is.

Thanks choombaz, yeah I read most of this thread, took me a few days, saves lots of the cool photos as reference. Learned all the tips on getting the different styles.
Relived the early excitement from the beginning, then the disgust from the first images, then on through the revolution of the Futz!

Haven’t found that other custom thread.

I briefly owned one of these with the intent of “recoloring” the face to better match his onscreen appearance, but in the end I did not have the courage to potentially wreck such a high-dollar figure. Ended up selling him when I needed the money.

However I was able to do a little face modding on the TFA Chewie (after finding a spare headsculpt to keep as backup) and it feels slightly better.

Hey, so I took Chewy down recently and see that parts of his strap for his satchel is flaking. Very much like Indys strap. Is there a way to forestall any further degradation? Here's a pic of what I'm talking about and one for the holidays.

You can use 303 protectant or something similar to regularly wipe down to keep it from flaking.

same thing happened with mine. Some flaking and cracking when I checked earlier this year. Think eventually I'll just get a real leather one made by either GeeWhiz or Old Traveler Workshop.

Thanks. I feel like I've heard this before. Maybe in the 89 Batman thread.

I've seen GeeWhiz's stuff. I know they'll do things to order but have they made Chewys bandolier before?

I'll have to check out Old Traveler Workshop though.

Thanks
