Alright here you go. A couple quick shots of my two durasteels. I'll say the tailoring does seem a tad tighter and I do like the armor finish a bit better. Other than that articulation is essentially the same so don't rush out and buy one for that reason. You be the judge though. Right or Left?

I can’t believe how fast SS got this in stock..but then again..it is a redone figure

Hold on..even the bodies are the same? They said the Blurg version is the new body

Body is pretty much the same. Fat suit is maybe a tiny bit thinner material wise? Articulation is the same between the two.

Again, I'd only bother going after this one if:
-you like the armor finish better
-you want a little tighter tailoring on the suit.

But its nothing where I'd recommend everyone track this one down or anything for the very minor differences.

Did they correct the misaligned deco on the thigh plate, where the paint didn't match the position of the dent? I can't quite tell from the photo.

I’m confused if you see the YouTube reviews..the collectors or demonstrators say this version has ratcheted joints which I know was not in the original. So how can this be the same body as you say:oops:

Which thigh plate? I'll check.

As far as I can remember both have softer ratchets, but the fat suit makes both essentially the same articulation wise.

I'm out of town, but I'll see if I can strip both bodies to show them together when I get back.

Mine is still packed away from our recent move, so I can't grab a photo, but my recollection is that there's a battle-damaged section on the smaller, tan left thigh plate where the black painted mark doesn't follow the shape of the damage. I think it may have been the curly line at the bottom right when looking at it (the figure's left)?

Ok for @guyver1 and @CapnDaniel Or anyone else still curious here some more pics to illustrate the differences or lack there of.

Both bodies stripped down. New on left, og on right. Slightly deeper cuts on the hips, some slight difference in thickness on the padding. Both have ratchets. My newer body is a little more "clicky" but it doesn't make any difference in the actual articulation.

Just to show it amounts to no different articulation. (The new one is the one in desperate need of futzing on the right lol)

So there you go. Save your money and keep your og unless you like the darker armor finish.

And the thigh pad still has the misaligned damage on the bottom right. :gah:

Thanks very much for confirming that! It wouldn't have been enough of a change to make me get a second one, but it would have been enough to make me mildly cranky, so it's nice not to have that as a thing.

The difference around the knees on the undersuits is interesting.

Love these photos because it gives a sense of the scale of the thing and because I can point to them to unsuccessfully convince my wife the set would look great on the end of our sideboard 🤣
My wife wants a pet.
The pics from @ksteezy will now help me promote the justification of the Blurrg.

#enabled 😁
