i think a photo right below your question answers it perfectly.
i also think it's a zipper issue and not a sewing issue. if you could somehow realign the zipper halves...

I finally got this figure in the mail over the weekend. Overall it's great, but I can't help my brain from nitpicking some of the proportions. The flamethrower is way too big, Jones and his carrier are way too small, and Ripley's legs look too short for her body.

Yes. I have noticed the same about flamethrower and cat carrier sizes. But I think is something related with scale. If the flamethrower would be smaller, we would think that it is too small. The flamethrower saw in the movie was filmed with cinematographic lens.

Looks great! Are you able to twist her torso around a bit more to her right to bring the left shoulder around a bit more?
My Ripley arrives this week! From the looks of it, she's fun to pose.

Hi all, I received a figure from Sideshow Collectibles today that was supposed to be Ripley but I was sent the Netflix Punisher by mistake.

The shipping label says Ellen Ripley but the box is the Punisher. I’ve contacted Sideshow about about it and I’m hoping they can send me the right figure. I actually wanted the Punisher but could not get it shipped to my country so I’ve offered to pay for it so I can hopefully keep it.

Has this happened to anyone else when buying from Sideshow, how are they likely to handle it?

The Punisher costs $5 more at Sideshow. You could've just kept it and ordered another Ripley.

Yes but I think honesty is worth more to me than the $5

You'd actually probably be saving Sideshow more than $5 in administration costs.
