Oh, really? Did you do some survey across the world or something? Nah i get it, wish is a father of thought ;)

I'm not sure what you're contesting here, the tattoo's on this Joker are one of the biggest complaints a very large chunk of the fanbase had...

I get that it was a challenge coming up with a new Joker after Ledger's amazing performance, but they should have kept in mind that the Joker's design is iconic enough on its own. If you want to make a new Joker unique, go for a unique performance from a great actor, not a surface alteration of his look to somehow make him "hip".

Instead of Leto, I would've tapped Matthew McConnaughey. He has an imposing physical presence Leto lacks and he's a great actor who might have done something really groundbreaking with the role.

Joker's been long overdue for a style overhaul for a very long time. I liked what they did with him in SS. They gave him modern gangster attire mixed with classic elements, filtered through J's tongue-in-cheek sense of humor. I thought it worked beautifully. The people that aren't getting it, just don't get it

Are you speaking of the performance or aesthetics or both? I assume both since you're using both interchangeably.
Its not as if its intrinsically bad in giving Joker tattoos and modifying or adding to his already unique look. Ayer's alteration was no different from Nolan's in that he modified the Joker in accordance to the particular tone and world he was aiming for. Honestly, I don't feel as though Leto himself was even the issue as he is a capable and versatile actor in addition to physically fitting Joker the most, more so than his predecessors . It may simply have been a combination of execution and script.

I think Leto is more than capable of delivering a good, even great, Joker performance, but I feel his Joker had many setbacks, from design to writing.
He had a lot to say in the movie yet at the same time, he said nothing, Heath's Joker delivered more intimidation with a look, whereas I found myself more... confused (?) when Joker made an appearance in SS.
Could have been editing, too, I've seen the movie a few times and I still don't even get wtf happened in that club scene, that had to be poor editing or poor writing, or both, but I don't put that on Leto

I don't mind tattoos on Joker, I don't mind a more gangster look, but I do mind him looking like a fanboy Joker cosplayer because of the choice in tattoos.
Too clean, too obvious, too "flash tattoo"
if it looked like it was carved in his flesh, hurried, messy, okay, but "damaged" on his forehead because Batman made him sad?
Come..... on.

I am sorry to say this / but nothing comes close to ledger joker. I do respect jack as joker but ledger far outperformed everyone. As for Leto - Sorry state of affairs! [emoji34]

The heir to Jack could've been a Leo rather than a Leto:

Ledger's Joker is not overrated. Not only a brilliant Joker but one of the best on screen portrayals of a psychopath from any genre.

Back to Harley. I still love the sculpt they went with but can see no single hs will ever please everybody. It's a shame they can't include a neutral and expressive hs with every figure without making it crazy expensive.

Plot twist: Neither of those Jokers are accurate representations of the character.

He literally won a posthumous Oscar for his Joker performance. So, no. He's not overrated.

Yes, his tragic pass helped it a lot. That's a known fact.
