I would like to have seen more expressions that show him fighting or struggling. Much like these expressions;

However, those would obviously require the sculpt to have squinty eyes or it would look weird like HT's Nicholson Joker.

Also, just lose the smirk and go with a neutral Bale breathing look;

Yeah an open mouthed screaming face is needed..........guess they didn't want to go that far.
I don't think you'll be let down by this...looks just incedible.

Those are excellent suggestions. As much as I want a better cowl, the squint and some better faceplates (that actually look like Bale) alone would be massive improvements.

Its a toy, its just never going to be 100% accurate especially with head sculpts. Even the best most amazing head sculpts by companies or custom artists still dont achieve 100% accuracy because its made by hand and just very difficult to sculpt things that 100% life-like human face. Might be the hardest thing to do in art & sculpting. Think about sculpture outside of the toy realm, there aren't many artists out there or over history that have sculpted human faces that look 100% like a certain person. Some come very close, but its really difficult.

But whatever, i guess we all have our own views about this stuff. I personally have always been very happy with HTs when it comes to their Batman stuff. Its more about collecting the character & toys for me. If you want 100% accuracy you need to collect 1:1 replicas or real movie props.

The problem is not that we are unhappy with the sculptors' abbilities, we are unhappy because HT could use a 3D scan of a cowl to make it 100% accurate. It's easier and cheaper for them, and better for us. These days with a scan anything can be replicated with perfection, so why can't they? EB seems to have done it

I love HT figures but if they can do something better but won't thats where us complainers come in

I know people complain about the shoulder armour on all HT TDK/R batmans but I've not noticed a problem with them.

I just get my Batman 1/4 enterbay.... and I cant see the cowl and say YES!! its Bale in the BB suit!!!! those eyes, the expresion of the mouth...

In a 1/6 figure you can forgive things... but in a 1/4 you must brake the rules and give a hight quality cowl. I thing HT will do a better sculpt after the EB lesson. And I must say Im not a EB fan becouse all my collection is from HT. But this time I must take my hat off to EB

The cowl looks the way it does because Bale is wearing it. If this were to hypothetically happen, i can guarantee you the price would sky rocket(bale 3D scan) and a good number of artists there will probably be out of a job.
As an artist myself, i would rather pay someone to put their time and blood into a sculpt rather than having them 3D scan it, rendering them jobless.

Why are we making excuses or making this a big deal? We only need to look in the thread above to see a face and cowl done right at 1/4. HT took the easy route and basically blew up their 1/6. Slapped a $500 price tag on it and people are going to pay it.

It doesn't looks any better than DX12.. it actually looks kinda gay in some shots

Ok, so no big deal, however my point still stands. They made an incorrect cowl at 1/4 and the face looks no more like Bale than a Hasbro figure does.

Now maybe I'm not seeing too well these days .

Also - I realize it's a different sculpt, but it isn't a better or improved sculpt, which is also my point.
