Hey Stickman, the helmet does not fit at all. Not even close. It barely fits the Starbuck head, even scratched up the sides of the hair when I tried to put it on.

That's really too bad. I can deal with the sculpt being off as it is, but the smaller scale really destroys the overall look.

Great to see Han as a Colonial Warrior, but... he's no more Starbuck than Sackoff was.

Actually I thought he could pass for Apollo!.
But I also always thought the Dirk Benedict Starbuck and Solo were cut from the same cloth. And not surprisingly, both were my favorite characters in their respective worlds (as opposed to the actual leads, Luke and Apollo, both of whom just came across as too dull to me). Both were rogue-ish, gambling scoundrels who you could always count on in a fight, although Starbuck was always a little more smarmy and womanizing than Han!

Oh, no doubt Starbuck was the small screen Han. Both my faves of their series as well.
Its actually funny that you did that. Back when there was no 1:6 BSG from Majestic I had used 2 different model kit heads of Luke for BOTH Apollo and Starbuck.

Thanks!! I had made them up as an entry to a contest in one of the old figure mags before I had the internet. I had made Cain, Tigh, and Zac too.

Yea, SSC sent out a notice that my order was cancelled since the manufacturer wasn't going to deliver the product.
Just as well I guess, they really weren't up to current 1/6 standards.

Crap, I was actually looking forward to that 12" Lucifer and Athena (even though they weren't the greatest quality, as you stated).
Pretty certain we will never see these figures in 12" format now. Kinda bummed.

What a disappointment. Sure these were not Hot Toys quality, but they weren't Hot Toys prices either. The head sculpts were just as good as a lot of 1/6th coming out now. The clothes and weapons were also nice for the price.I heard about some of the problems that came up in trying to get these figures produced. Really sorry to see that Amok Time threw in the towel on these.

I'd be interested in a good Maren headsculpt and Athena was the only one out of the next batch of BSG figures that I wanted.

Hey!
Just wanted to say Sean and I at Warriors Gate Productions were talking about wanting to make some heads at some point but didn't really want to do it till we saw if Amok Time were ever going to release their line cause their Boomer and Athena heads were sweet.
I personally have been dying for a proper Benedict and Hatch sculpt since I was a kid. At the same time, we'd also need much nicer uniforms than what Majestic put out so we would need to start a uniform group commission to get some better quality ones happening.
The same Majestic/AmokTime belts/guns could be used but maybe we could sculpt new boots? I'd need to look and see how accurate the Majestic ones were.
Sean wasn't sure if there would really be enough interest and I assured him there would be. My Cylons are lonely!!! (laugh).
Shout out if you want nicer Dirk and Richard heads made to let him know.

My pre-order at Amoktime has not been cancelled. At least they did not tell me about it!
But I guess this does not mean anything: Amoktime did not answer any of my mails either.
Well, at least my collection is complete then. And I am running out of space anyway,
so no new figures is, in some way, good news for me...
