I thought the theme drops were used sparingly, the same amount as the older movies.

I thought the runtime flew by too, and the third act takes a leap but having played the games and read the comics it's not a massive stretch.

I would nearly go again I loved it so much.

Anthony Mackie on Harrison Ford:

“The first day was so intimidating. I was so f---ing nervous I couldn’t remember my lines. He’s Harrison f---ing Ford. There is this aura about him. But he dispels that really quickly because he’s such a cool guy. He’s everything a movie star should be. He would say, ‘Let’s shoot this piece of sh-t.’ And everybody was like, ‘Yeah, let’s shoot this sh-t.’ We spent a good bit of time together. Ross and Cap have always had that relationship, where they were friends and they respected each other, but they always bumped heads. That’s their relationship in the storyline.”

Another group of friends (6 of them, 4 adults, 2 teens) all just got out of it and none of them liked it. They said it was totally forgettable and boring - particularly the teens, they really didn't like it. But the adults just thought it was meh. Very lackluster and not a single standout scene.

Just made me think, who did Disney think their audience was?

He also sent me a pic of the cinema and there was less than 20 people in the whole cinema!

Saw the movie last night and it was everything i knew it was going to be...And worse!

The first 20 minutes are quite enjoyable with the wonderful Toby Jones stealing the show. Mikkelsen too is great throughout.
Young CGI Indy is pretty jaw dropping for the most part, but you can still tell from the body shots that's it's an old Ford with his younger face on it.

And that's where Indiana Jones ends and the adventures of Helena Shaw begin. It's her film from here on in with her doddery old godfather "JONESY"(she calls him that) just a sidekick.

I knew she be annoying, but dear god she's off the scale annoying, and unlikeable. She's just another stupid mary sue character...the bestest, greatest, most brilliant Archaeologist EVER! With smart-ass lines galore.
Thankfully even as an old Indy Ford saves the day and is as watchable as ever.

The story itself is more nonsensical than the Crystal skull crap. And it's way too long! A half an hour or so could have been cut from the film and it wouldn't have been missed.

For me KOTCS is no longer the worst Indiana Jones sequel.:poop:
2/10

The same here. There was a group of teens a few rows down from us and after about an hour into the movie they too got bored with two of them getting up and walking out, while the others just sat there talking loudly and playing with their phones.

I’m stressed out do I go see this tonight or not :gah:

I wasn’t going but a friend wants to go but I can’t take another KOTCS opening night again. :monkey2

How the hell can you mess up 2 movies with this iconic character in 34 freaking years!

They had 34 years to get this right WTF! :slap

Even the ST did it better!

Oh, and Jye - if they got this wrong I'm thinking that 34 year passage of time will have a lot to do with it lol...

Serious question but what do people see in that movie? It looks absolutely boring. I mean idk I wasn’t much for war films so maybe that’s why but a movie about the conception of the atomic bomb just sounds eh
Just everything surrounding the development of it. The fear, the testing, the lament of piecing together something of such destruction for the first time in human history. Not to mention the intrigue of their being a Soviet spy within the ranks of the scientists.

But it’s a prequel and we know the ending already.

Or do we :panic:

The ultimate movie star. Knows it’s a POS but will take the check anyway. 😅

At least this time you’re mentally/emotionally prepared!

People are saying its better than Crystal Skull, which I know is the lowest possible bar, but its good that this is better, right? Mangold hit it out of the park... a very small park, like an ant farm ('memba those?), but still.
