See I think they've already achieved that with Gideon. His tactics and abilities were totally sound, he'd won! It was just a fluke Star Destroyer falling out of the sky that he never could have anticipated that did him in.

The guy only shows up Chapter 7 to get bested in Chapter 8. Repeat that for 3 seasons in a row and I’m ok never seeing him again.

Just focus on Thrawn for now and then they can fully segue into the ST crap for all I care so I can completely bail from this franchise instead of having one foot in

I see the usual YouTube crowd are declaring the final as terrible, Chris Gore stating it’s for 6 year olds! It’s gotten to the point now it’s really obvious that they’ve milking their audiences for hate clicks. How long can this go on?

You cannot resist Xizor.

The trick to resisting him is staying far away.

I doubt theyd bring in the EU Xizor, way too sexually charged for these times. (Said times combining Victorian prudery and wild sexual excesses in a way that those watching aliens must really puzzle over). But he was an effective Black Sun high up and very ruthless. Theres something very Ming the Merciless about him too.

Alas I was underwhelmed even by these better episodes. Fatigue may be setting in, as it has with Marvel and DC. BOBF, Obi-Wan, Mando S3....I didn't even like Andor.

Yeah, Xizor would be considered..."problematic"(™) in current day.

He's a green reptile man (well, red when he's horny) but he's also vaguely Asian, so that would NOT fly in today's climate. Like you said, he gives off too strong a Ming the Merciless vibe and they don't like that. The horniness and the sex pheromones and wanting to bang women of all kinds of species....AND "cultural appropriation" in there too? Yeah, the outrage mob would have a field day with that.

Somehow back in the 90s I ended up with both versions of the action figure, even though I didn't really want him in my collection. One of them came with what looked like Asian burlesque dancer's fans, like he was gonna put on a weird strip tease. What the hell kind of weapons are those??

My brain is instantly able to erase Lizzo, Tico, Big Nose, Purple Hair, Canto, Dex, Gungans, Taxes, NOO, Oompah, Grevious, Rabbit, Pershing and Little Annie and act as if everything is 77/80/83 all over again and then look at complainers and be like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

For me that was the magical time for Star Wars. Imma go dig my Galoob Micro-machines and musclebound POTF2 figures out of the attic
