no HT Andor figures. 1 Andor lego set, retiring this year and with no sign of any more coming in 2023. Andor 3.75 VC figures are cheap peg warmers already.

Lego are releasing that random ship with rubbish pirate from Mando S3 episode 1, but no sign of them making Luthen's Fondor Haulcraft which to me at least was one of the best ever ships in SW.

What is it with Andor getting the black sheep treatment?
I think companies saw that Andor was more mature and targeted to adult audience, so they thought "kids won't care" and skipped it. Which is strange since a large chunk of consumer base is adults. Plenty good ships and troopers in Andor they could make even if they believe main cast aren't toyetic enough.

Mando on the other hand is like one long toy commecial every week, especially with season 3. That first episode was practically made to sell toys and the theme park rather than tell a story

Well I guess as far as Lego is concerned and toys in general. They’re all predominantly for kids. I don’t think that many kids would have watched Andor personally.

That’s what I think happened.

Still believe Cassian will be announced, while the rest of other characters suffer the grim fate of never seeing the hot toys treatment.

I think, most probable, any trooper that appeared could potentially get an Andor branded release. Though it does seem a bit eerie that not much has come out for Andor figures/vehicles wise. But yeah Cassian himself is a must.

Weekly plea...

WHERE ARE THE ANDOR FIGURES!?!

I'd be up for a Cassian, Bix, Dedra, Luthen, B2EMO, heck even Mon Mothma!!!

Even? She was one of the best parts of the series which is pretty much made up of only best parts.

Sadly none of those are likely aside from Cassian and maybe B2. A real shame. A lot of great figures could’ve been made of some excellent characters.

I would say even troopers of that sort from Hot Toys aren’t a guarantee anymore moving forward. They’re going to be more selective. As much as I love troopers, figures like the Transport Trooper, Tank Commander, Artillery Stormtrooper flopped.

People are becoming more and more selective as they run out of space or rethink which figures to prioritize as they get more expensive. And I don’t think they’re adding new collectors at a sustainable rate; probably went the other way with a shrinking market.

As for Andor, I think most toy and collectible companies saw the material they got from LFL and felt it wasn’t very toyetic and pre-decided the show wouldn’t generate strong sales. They probably didn’t expect it to be as good as it was or as acclaimed. Though that alone isn’t enough to sell merchandise.

Hot Toys felt just fine passing on Cassian the first time with Rogue One. So maybe they were okay doing so again. Still not off the table I think, but time is running out. At least for Season 1.

Agreed! I felt it was all consistently high quality all throughout! Much agreed, I really liked her character, and she had so many great looking outfits in the show it'd be difficult to choose one for a figure. Lol - I meant "even" as in she would probably be one of the least likely to have a figure of her be made :lol

Yuppp, alas, that would seem to be the case...

Ahh gotcha! It'd make sense to limit future troopers given there's still plenty of them available. (Still waiting on another OT era classic Stormtrooper tho 😁)

That seems like one of the most plausible reasons as to why the apparent lack of merchandise for Andor, amongst maybe licensing, rights, etc. or any combination of other things we're not privy to.

No doubt HT saw how good the show is and maybe will come around for S2 😁

I wonder if knowing its only 2 seasons they are waiting on it to be over to present figures of which ever characters they decide to do in their most iconic look from the season.

They know most of us will will double dip on a Luke or a Mando (for example) but maybe they are being cautious over which Andor or Luthen would be the best to promote.

If I were a betting man I would be wagering they are waiting on the latter episodes where Andor himself most likely is closer to his RO look.

I'd love a Dedra figure including cap, trenchcoat and moveable eyes.

Yes! A Dedra would be great! I think even her imperial uniform would look good in 1/6 form.

Same.

Yes, a very important part of her character.

Very much so! The rolling eye feature would benefit a figure of her by a big margin.

I get the feeling that's the look collectors are giving HT for not putting up any Andor figures :lol

I would also like a Syril figure for her to glare at from across the room.

:ROFLMAO:

What everyone's asking! 😯 Syril's expression is basically all the collectors who are wanting Andor figures :lol

The Hot Toys Krennic looks amazing and Dedra’s ISB uniform would make for a similarly striking figure.

No doubt she’d look amazing in an Imperial display. Which makes the situation sadder to think about.

Yeah Krennic instantly came to mind when I saw the ISB in Andor. Though, looking back now I'm a little in regret not picking up a Krennic figure. Dedra with two DT's flanking her would make for a nice display for sure!

Maybe, but my kids loved it. They found it a bit slow to get going but once it did they loved it.
