I feel at least 2% to blame for getting this so off topic so I’m going to bring up something more relevant I forgot to talk about.

I think these comparisons make the likeness not look that great to me. Two things stand out:

1. Who TF is that in the first reference picture I never remember him looking THAT frumpy

2. The InArt chin is much too narrow and predominant at the center of the face and it almost looks more like Timothee Chalamet’s chin on Pattinson’s face. I haven’t done this but just looking at this photo it looks like if you matched up the height of the forehead and nose across references the area under the nose on the InArt would be 20-30% taller than IRL.

The main problem with the bruce wayne headsculpt is the forehead, and cheekbones.
The jaw is waayy too chiseled, and the hairline comes down quite too low. If they make his forehead bigger, the jaw would look smaller.

If you literally compare it to Robert Pattinson's face, its spot on, but then Robert's pattinson's Bruce Wayne's face somehow doesn't match. I really wish they would update his face.

My cat fell asleep on me and I can’t disturb him so I did the work. Seems the overall shapes are pretty spot on. Perhaps the jaw simply tucks in too much before the chin.

All these references seem to be taken from pretty far away so it could be a lack of perspective making his face look wider as well. Seems the back of the jaw may be too high on the InArt as well although there’s a difference of angle here.

I think original image has proportions better from the way their placed. I still think making the forehead a bit bigger and changing the chin shape makes a signficant difference. I wish they did this.

edit: Right cheekbones on my photo edit could have been sharper, but the hairline really changes how long his face is.

Idk it’s pretty close on the photos to the left of the image but the forehead is way too small on the photos to the right it looks like he’s wearing a wig.

It's funny how I don't see the same analitics with Hot Toys releases...

You've never been to the Star Wars forum have you?
I did but the analitics are no so detailed and what it's more important, people keep buy them whatever Hot Toys releases. So... let's be a bit more confident with a company that is trying to make things different and it's listening to the customers.

Darth Vader, Boba Fett, any Batman ever are all threads which typically go in to as much detail or beyond as anything in this thread. It's really not an Inart vs. Hot Toys thing, but rather a character that is so beloved that people want the exact details whatever.

We've not even scratched the surface of analyzing this Batman yet, I mean we don't even know if his cape smells like his cape does in the film. And we won't know until we have it in hand. So all we can do right now is put some squares on his face and measure those.

What happened to all the great batman film discussions we had yesterday.. removed for "irrelevancy"? Come on whats the deal with these moderators I feel like Im on one six society here sometimes. How can we discuss a figure without discussing its source material!

Sure did. I had at least half a dozen of my own posts disappear. No rhyme or reason given either.

Wrong and disappointing.

If you want to spend 81 posts discussing a movie, do it in a movie thread.

A lot of the posts weren't even about the movie this figure is from!

There's leeway in threads, but then there's occasions like this when the drift is completely ridiculous:

Please keep discussions on topic.

That appears to be the very definition of “killing time”. Thank you for this post, and I say that in all sincerity. It made me realize how much time I spend on this site.

I think ultimately we all do. It's fun to speculate and it's really fun and exciting when we get a potential release that's a game changer. But then the slippery slope of over analyzing and setting up for disappointment begins to set in. In the past, and even now actually, I've found myself incredibly unexcited when I get a product in hand because I've already seen it a thousand times over in the myriad of videos that come out before and just after its release.

Just as an aside I was one hundred percent joking, I can't put myself to focus on every minutiae that others do, for me overall if the proportions look great and when I look at it my brain says yes, that's that guy from that film but slightly smaller, then I'm probably content. The Vader threads and the like drive me insane.

Oh no, did all those epic posts just disappear? Like tears in rain. That's... just wrong.
Speaking of which - folks in this forum are obsessed with the InArt accuracy so much that now we're down to grid section-by-section breakdown of Pattinson's face versus the sculpt, a-la the Screen Deckard uses to scan photos :slap

I'm even more glad I'm going with the Hot Toys version.

This pic alone already sold me Premium set 🦇
This looks so real. You can put 1/1 life size statue word in the photo lol

I'd just like to say here, that with the advent of InArt and their rooted hair, we are now officially heralding in a new age of middle aged men combing dolls sorry action figures with inzy wincy hair brushes to get the look just right.

He does look pretty epic in this pic though !!
