I think this is one to wait to see how the final release turns out.
Then again, maybe we'll get a K2 reissue after Andor but if it's true K2 won't appear until the second season, its going to be a loooong wait even if they do reissue him. This heavy weathered version may be the best option (unless you're willing to pay the big ebay prices)

They’ve yet to do Boba Fett from his own show. We’ll probably get something before Kenobi from his show. I doubt Cassian will fair any better at this rate.

Do you man, it is your money and your collection, we've had quick turnarounds for a few figures such as 501st and Coruscant Guard clones, Mando Boba and a few others.

I’m not telling anyone NOT to buy this. I’m not telling anyone how or what to add to their collection.

I just want someone to explain the rationale to me for ordering a figure 2 years out NOW. Like, why now? Why not 5 months out from shipping? You don’t get your figure or slot fulfilled any earlier by being the first to pay. Again, why are we fronting HT money this far out?

Of course, I knew what you meant and it is true, why are we forking up money up front for a product we might not see until the holidays of next year. We get the occasional figures ahead of schedule but just look at delays Pennywise had, and even Rex and Ahsoka, so I definitely get it.

I usually wait for those $20 coupons to pop up most of the time or I have reward points I use.

They’ve used them before for some other figures, usually with certain types of diorama bases like the Chitauri, a couple of Iron Man and War Machine figures, etc. For some tall figures as well, like 1/4 scale.

Agreed, it’s a good figure but a weird situation. I understand the disappointment, and hopefully the repaints are subsidizing new figures that are around the corner.

I wish we’d gotten Fallen Order figures so these could go with some troopers and characters from the game. Hopefully they make some for FO2.

Theres another droid in that sceneI was really hoping they would make Imperial Probe Droid as well.

I like having Droids dispersed amongst my troopers. I have K-2SO with them currently. I’d be happy to get some more to go with them.

I think it’ll sell alright, especially when people start seeing in hand impressions with pictures and videos. It might be a repaint, but the base figure is still one of the most impressive figures Hot Toys has made.
