To quote JC Hong ''We want to start developing some of the Jedi characters from the prequel films''. SDCC 2019

Nearly 3 years since that comment and we haven't had a single PT Jedi, have we?

The moral of the story is don't trust a single word they say :D
You'll get it. Patience.
Venom Windu is at the horizon.

The Book of Boba Fett wasn't what I expected but it had some good episodes at least. I'm looking forward to Kenobi and maybe even moreso to Andor. Not a fan of the Andor character as he appeared in Rogue One, but I like the era this show takes place in.

So I remain hopeful and positive.

Your complaining about other people complaining is *chef's kiss*! I see the same thing all over FB, "How dare you complain, all Star Wars is equally wonderful!" Or the mighty and infamous "STAR WARS IS STAR WARS!"

Yeeeaaahhhhh sure it is. We call that "fake news," boi.

I hope Kenobi is great, I really do because I need something to watch and we all need cheering up after BoBF. But otherwise your statement is LOL.
It's tiresome seeing the same crap over and over. If you hate star wars stop watching it. Just keep watching the ot over and over to relive your youth and spare the rest of society. Fake news and alternative facts are both part of the same dishonest narrative so using that doesn't help your credibility.

It's really tiresome seeing the same star wars bashing from the same old people who should just stick to watching ot and spare the rest of society from their complaining .
That's over-simplified. Before the threads imploded into a (often entertaining) meme-fest, many people produced well-thought out and cogent critiques as to why new Star Wars content such as (Exhibit A) BoBF was sub-standard, that ranged from production design issues through to the script and direction.

An honest critique of content fans are invested in and pay for, is not 'bashing' although you're not the only one to trot out that well-worn straw man.

Exhibit B: The Mandalorian -- in spite of being uneven in spots, the show was almost universally praised because it was generally entertaining and well-executed as a whole. Rogue One and Solo were met with honesty and plenty of goodwill by OT fans, even if not universally so.

This being a public forum with freewheeling discourse, you already know you're going to see people who don't like 'x' content for 'y' reason, so I fail to see the utility of complaining about material you know will be here by nature of the venue, and it's inaccurate -- at best -- to be so reductive describing opinions you don't care for.

I haven't seen anyone 'bashing' new Star Wars offerings for the most part, but rather they/we tend to measure it by the standards of stylistic continuity and resonance to the source material, which are fair metrics when dealing with a legacy property that has a distinct, established flavour.

Where I don't disagree with you is that I indeed, failed to watch every episode of BoBF because I saw it as sub-standard, and subsequently cancelled my D+ subscription because I see no need to invest subscription dollars or my time, until -- or if -- people with credibility give excellent reviews to new content they're brave enough to vet.

For myself, I don't have the time or the heart to slog through it.

Yeah I'm sure it'll be fine. Kenobi is their cash cow bringing in the PT era viewers if they are not already here. So they need to get it right.

I was just tempering my expectations I guess. 1 week before I'll be excited as much as the next person here.

A little "once bitten twice shy" you could say. But better to go in like that and be pleasantly surprised.

It's no more a cash cow than Boba Fett was and look what happened there. Kennedy Lucasfilm loves destroying legacy characters. They have mostly destroyed every single one they have touched.

It's people like you who are really the ones being dishonest and contributing to the downfall of the franchise by pushing a false narrative. Need even more proof than the overwhelming amount we already have over the last several years? Go look up how the Disney Galactic Starcruiser is doing.

Well here are some facts. This is what Howard Chan had to say about The Mandalorian, the ST, BOBF, and the Kenobi show at the conclusion of Mandalorian season 2. It will be interesting to see how many figures Howard makes post BOBF and Kenobi, especially considering the negative reaction the more invested fans had to BOBF.

On Disney + shows:I think lots of fans are disappointed with the sequels. Even me I don’t have any desire to revisit them anytime soon. The sales were awful. Mando is like the dawn after the dark . Especially Luke , he was redeemed , unlike episode 8. Introducing new characters in one movie is not gonna leave an impression. In contrast , mando’s Kuiil leaves you the impression of wisdom, a clear cut personality and very popular as well. If he were a movie character he would’ve been an extra. TV is good for new characters while revisiting old ones. My most anticipated shows are Obiwan and Book of boba Fett. I love boba and obi is set in ep 3 and 4 so we will learn more about that time , we may see DV again and the original ep 3 casts back!

Don't expect much for Kenobi and you won't be disappointed. I still think the Kenobi figure may go on the DX line if his outfit is complicated.

Ok so Howard is the final arbiter on what is good star wars. I learned something new today at least!

If I ever come to hate SW, I wont need anyone telling me to "stop watching it." I can do that all by myself.

Just keep watching the ot over and over to relive your youth and spare the rest of society. Fake news and alternative facts are both part of the same dishonest narrative so using that doesn't help your credibility.

I have no idea where you got the idea that I "watch the OT over and over." I don't. If that was all we did, would people be out here complaining much to your displeasure?

As far as "fake news," the fake news I was referring to is the idea that all SW content is equally good. This is a glaringly false contention.

What's also super fake news is your idea that everyone who does not march in lockstep with you can all be forced into the same little box. In all truth, you argue like a teenager who has retreated to his room and slammed the door behind him. Its just bratty behavior.

So far from only enjoying the OT, I am here for stuff like Mando and that Vizsla guy knife-fighting over the abyss of space with no handrails.

Since you quoted my post as part of your respond, why would you say that? I said Kenobi might make it to the DX line. I based it on the fact that he is a popular character and his concept art designs looks complicated.

While I enjoyed BOBF, looking at the whole thing as a TV Show about Boba Fett, it didn't really work. It really only seemed to fill in gaps between Boba's rebirth and journey from ROTJ to Mando. It was paced weirdly, and had no big bad until Bane shows up for the final hour of the shows total runtime. The Pykes were there all along, but they don't really do anything between episode 2 and the final moments of episode 6. The last 3 episodes were great, but they could have used a stronger lead in.

How is any of this "fake news"? :lol That is probably one of the stupidest phrases to enter popular conversation. (Second to "woke")

I am just sort provoking the Kylo Ren of Sideshow Freaks, aka Malgus. Dont take me too seriously, ever. Andfor gods sake, dont provoke Kylo because he will take a lightsaber to his slammed-closed room door over it. He is brooding, he is overly serious and he is Judging You... And everyone. We should take up a collection and get him one of those Hasbro Kylo helmets so he can scowl fiercely through it as he berates everyone for our complaining ways. Might hamper his view of the keyboard tho.
