Does Boba have any fans left at this point? :dunno:wave
Well, if I put a mental block up, and based on his Mando appearance, I've kept my Boba HT PO. I block out Falcon and Winter Soldier too except for Zemo.

Figure if fan fiction writers wanna cook up pablum, that doesn't affect the original quality work. :drink

Cobb Vanth/Pykes/Jawas are about the only part of this episode I liked.

Not an Ahsoka fan anyway; but IMO there was absolutely no reason for her to be there. None :pfft: . Except for Filoni reminding everyone about her show, since not everyone has seen CW or Rebels.

I like Dawson's physicality; but IMO she just doesn't have the presence of the Armorer, say, or the Client to be all-knowing and mysterious.

Usually I would have been happy to see Mando and Grogu, but this just felt kinda pedestrian. Way too much Luke; and rehash. It just didn't work for me. Plus I sort of had the feeling of whiplash, tho maybe it's supposed to feel like a lot of time has passed since Luke picked up Grogu. First it's really important that Grogu be trained; for the Child's survival if nothing else. But then Grogu still seems childlike but he's getting a big choice dropped in front of him? So assuming he's a fail at the Jedi thing, supposedly he's trained up enough now to leave Luke anyway?

But, whatever, the point is he goes back to Mando, all is well *shrug*:drink. I'd have much rather seen Mando and Luke have a conversation etc. Did like the environment and the droids. This just felt like Filoni, tho he is slowly getting better.
For me this is sort of a filler Mando episode, so S3 Mando can kick off with Grogu in tow, and amusingly destroy stuff with the Force now:monkey3. Also both father and son have had to face a struggle between 2 different worlds so that's a theme. I hope their reunion is handled better - they need to call Bryce Dallas H. back.

Meanwhile, feel for Boba fans, since this has gotten ridiculous; might as well call it Mando Season 3 early release.:google:dunno

Except she's hanging with the one Jedi still around and another force user? I mean are you serious?

Amazing episode! The implications of how deep fakes could be used and how convincing they can be is scary. Seeing Cad Bane in live action was awesome. I really like how this is staring to tie together with the bigger story that will continue in Mando Season 3 and Ahsoka.
Yes I was amazed at how well Luke looked and for extended periods and even while talking. That said, they also had him do a great deal of his dialogue while the camera was focused on Grogu or elsewhere, so it was evident that synchronizing it to Hamill's voice work is where it's not perfect. Not the same as de-aging SLJ for a younger Nick Fury - it's still SLJ on camera reciting his own lines.

What would a trilogy set in between the OT and ST be called anyway? Is it still a sequel if it's set before another sequel?

The trilogy that everyone hates would simply be discarded. Too bad Kathleen Kennedy is still around or it could actually happen. She will never let her own self image(Rey) realized on screen to be erased.

So I guess it took 30 years for those creatures to start living near the temple. You know, the ones that were annoyed with Rey :dunno

Yeah I am. For one thing, have never seen that ALL the Jedi would have been wiped out; that there would have been a few, here and there, that escaped. It's a big universe. Like Kanan Jarrus. As well as Force sensitives, and a few like Grogu who have the talent but are untrained. Like, perhaps, survivors from Mace Windu's home planet Haruun Kal, where many were Force sensitive.

For another, from a writing standpoint, like the Russos once said, they never wanted a character in play without a specific purpose. There wasn't one thing Ahsoka said that couldn't have been handled by Luke; and IMO it would have been far better to have SOME kind of conversation between Din D'jarin and the person he handed his kid off to.
I mean, it's freakin' Luke Skywalker, the most powerful Jedi around at this point, trained by Obi-Wan Kenobi, someone who can appreciate the bonds of family.

Far as I can tell she was there for fan service and to remind folks about her show. I know a lot of fans are gonna be thrilled with this episode. I think it could have been better written and handled, but, Filoniverse. *Shrug*. :drink

The Merch alone that they will generate from this one episode…Cobb without the armor, Luke’s new Japanese inspired GI style tunic top, even Asoka’s hilts were different sizes :horror

Um, you do realize that this planet where Luke is building a temple to train Jedi is NOT Ahch-To, the planet where he was found on his little island in the ST? That said, it doesn't look like the area where Luke's temple was in his TLJ flashbacks, not unless Ben/Kylo and TKOR torched the entire landscape.
