I have zero issue skipping right to 5 and 6 on a rewatch between season 2 and the eventual season 3 of Mando.

Khev will not like this talk of proper sequel trilogy... heretic.

Still feeling the good vibes from this episode, when they get it right they really do. Seeing those Luke and Grogu scenes brings warm feelings to my heart.
How can they retcon a proper ST with the existence of the current one. Hate it or like it, the ST is canon and it would be shocking for Disney to throw it away...although dollars do tend to speak volumes. So far though, they've done nothing to veer from where the ST ultimately goes. Grogu is Luke's first student. At some point his little nephew joins the fray and we all know what happens next. My question is what they do with Grogu? Does he end up with Mando so he's safe from Kylo's wrath?

Wow they did it.
The Lone wolf and Cub choice.

Although if I were FavRoni, i'd have Grogu put the two together and choose both! .
:cwink:

And Luke allowing it.

Luke's "Instinct" which Ahsoka presumably recognizes, was never following Jedi dogma, but choosing his own path, never giving up on the connection to his loved ones, friends, sister, father, and saved his father by allowing him that choice again, and letting him reconnect with what he loved. And by that, brought about the Return of the Jedi, his way.
That's the Luke coming out of ROTJ.

Although Disney's future Luke is a complete failure, who instead followed and was a slave to Jedi Dogma, and books, and who betrayed all his own learned experience and instinct,
So who knows where they are going.

That said, episode was fantastic, a cavalcade of awesome pulling from all over, and combining it wonderfully.
:yay:
My thoughts on the ep are in the Mandalorian thread^

As far as Boba Fett, again as with the last, it appears the less we see (and hear) of him the better.
While that is in part due to Morriosn, the character is just better silent and helmeted.
But right now the setup for the Cad Bane showdown, is carrying his story.
And all I can say is he better wear his helmet for that!

The dreaded return of the Mod Squad? :lol
Again I've come to terms that this part of Tat. is a little more modern, with the Casino there, has a new influx of people, money and and culture from off world, that trickles down into the sub culture. Hence the Mods.

For better or worse, that is his team:
A depressed Rancor, Fennec, Chocolate Kroissant, The Mod Squad, a healed Cob Vanth (who really needs some armor as per this suggestion), and a depressed Mandalorian.

Looking forward to the outrageous finally. :wink1:

They won't throw it away, but the Vergence Scatter allows for multiple realities so Disney can profit from all versions of the canon.

Even the first four episodes of TBOBF can remain canon, from a certain point of view. A special realm for ridiculous characters such as the Mods, comedy Boba, the Mayor's Major Domo, Jar Jar Binks and Kylo Ren. :lol

Hey don't throw Jar Jar in with those CLOWNS.

Edit. The person I named is only the voice actor for the Spanish version, not a double for Mando. The Mandalorian double for this episode is Brendan Wayne.

So far it seems Disney are using two doubles for Mando, the other being Lateef Crowder. Who’s a bit more muscular than the other guy.

Not sure where I want to go with this post but it’s interesting they choose two stunts with somewhat different shapes for the same character. But it’s not a Boba Morrison situation though, not even close. Wayne should’ve worn the Boba suit when crawling out of the sarlaac.

I think it was a warning, if Bane wanted him dead he would be. See example: the deputy
Yeah, but not a very effective warning. Killing him leaves them in disarray without their leader, but only wounding him stirs them up and allows him to rally the troops. I'm happy that CV is likely alive, but it doesn't make much sense.

It's pretty bizarre how all this is playing out. I don't remember ever watching a show where the showrunners basically ask/beg you to completely ignore the first two thirds of it.
Can't say I have ever seen this before. This is a severely limited series and they have taken a complete left turn on the title character. Even in a long running show, you might get the POV of another character for an entire show that is one out of many seasons.
This shot instantly reminded me of one of the Jedi Knight PC games:

I'm sure there was a training level set among ruins in a location like this.
The true canon had Luke set up the Jedi Academy on Yavin IV, the old rebel base from ANH. Massassi Temples they were called. Unfortunately, TLJ stupidity has the current writers working backwards towards that failure.
Something this disjointed starts at the top. KK likes to ruin the legacy characters while it looks like Mando episodes is what the real SW creatives are after. Favreau still has his name on those BoBF shows, so either he really wanted that direction for Fett or he is biting his tongue in order to continue his Mando show.
