This is actually a pretty badass looking 3.75 inch figure based off his Mando appearances. It even looks good with the helmet off. Much cooler than the tight pants BOBF version.

Looks pretty decent to be fair.

Brutal:

"......We’ve met Hutt twins with an incestuous vibe, Tusken Raiders with honor, and a droid with the voice of Matt Berry. Ming-Na Wen’s Fennec Shand has bailed Boba out so many times, you could mistake her for his mom. (I mean who else would constantly come to a man’s rescue without complaint or romantic expectations? A MOM!)"

Tho dunno about that one. Rewatching Mando and the glorious sight of Fennec and Gina sharpshooting. It's refreshing to not always have smut (no one ever needed Ripley to hop into the sack).

Tho maybe this is one big fakeout,:nana: all leading to some ultimate, jaw-dropping end; like Favreau's gotta know you need a finale, with all the MCU experience. Am sure I'll be lined up to watch the next show, tho maybe it's more like rubbernecking at a car crash.:toilet_cl
"Who exactly is Boba Fett and what could his future within the Star Wars universe be? That’s what The Book of Boba Fett was supposed to explain. So far, we’ve seen a scarred, beaten man fumble his way into power with the help of friends. He’s a crime lord who seems allergic to doing crime. A warrior who constantly needs help to survive any old fight, including those against tiny, rat-catching droids. Boba Fett has had a few moments of cool — like leading a high speed train robbery or blasting some bikers to smithereens — but overall, his swagger has been sorely lacking in The Book of Boba Fett so far."

YOU'LL NEED SOME OINTMENT for a third-degree burn like that one, Filoni and Favreau. You'll need a vat of it, in fact.

You'll need bacta.
My favorite:

"You are a black hole of charisma constantly being beaten by adversaries, out-maneuvered by foes, and outshone by co-stars."

I'm really trying to like this show.

I'm really trying.

Between the Tusken Raiders dancing, razzle dazzle squad, Boba and Fennec being rather dull... I just sort of don't care about it.

Also does it not feel strange to anyone else that no one has even mentioned anything of what happened to the Empire to Boba? He was hired by Vader and there's so little talk of the events that either are happening at the same time or have already happened. Seems odd. Just the timeframe of him getting out of the pit and how he is now is odd.

At first I didn't mind because I don't really give a s about Boba as a character from the OT, so for them to form a new character made more sense. But the complete lack of a sense of character from the originals, even as someone who completely didn't give a crap, is extremely grating.

How do you go from someone with blatantly no honour (favouring choices of disintegration as a form of killing), to wanting to be a diplomat. Not even his Slave 1 gunning down of the biker squad felt in line with this because of what we've seen in between that. He seems like a fractured character with no discernible reason for being so other than the writers trying to make something new whilst I guess simultaneously trying to incorporate some of the fans expectations of him as a character.
Hadn't thought about it due to the fact that lack of imagination has resulted in not only are we still stuck in Tatooine, tho it's a budget version of Tattooine that not only rehashes things we've seen before in the ST, it decorates them with potted palms from Wal-Mart.

The show already ripped off Mando just by that scene of another stormtrooper helmet being added to a stake, because there's nothing quite like diluting iconic elements and scenes by giving the fans MORE. So like, for the first time in SW history, Din D'jarin with his inscrutable coolness apparently was able to establish a relationship with at least some Tuskens. Awesome. We didn't need to know HOW that came about.

But let's double down and give the fans MORE, and who cares if the Tuskens aren't mysterious and savage denizens of the desert; dangerous and unpredictable - now they're a cross between Tibetan fighting monks and hippies in a commune.

Guess we should be happy about that tho, coz at least the Tuskens will make for some great 1/6 figs. Meanwhile procedures that were only done to deal with horrific injuries are done on purpose, and Fennec is actually introduced as "Master Assassin" WTF. Who does that? Is that a title? Or does Fett think his new subjects are so brain dead?

But I'll be lined up like everyone else to watch in horrific fascination. Besides, maybe the Marshall will show up.😁

My whole perspective on filmmaking changed years ago after watching Buried (with Ryan Reynolds); if they can make an entire movie inside a coffin and make it utterly compelling, then no-one else has any excuses - it's just BAD WRITING.
That film depicted probably my worst nightmare.

You mean until BOBF right? 😎
That'll be our epic finale. Boba, his pride/feelings hurt after being once again laughed at by all of Mos Espa, retreats alone to his bacta tank to sulk (but he flies back using his jetpack so...yay?). However in his haste he locks himself in and forgets to turn on the oxygen, so we see the panicked look on his face as he realizes he's probably going to suffocate in a half-filled bacta tank. Then all we hear is the muffled sound of his pounding on the tank's glass as the camera zooms out and then fades to black. Roll credits.

Mid-credits scene (Bacta tank seen from a distance):

Boba: "Is anyone out there? I'm not dead yet. There's still a bit of air left in here. Anyone? Anyone?"

Post credits stinger. Man approaches Bacta tank and we hear classic spurs ringing with each footstep. We hear a whoosh of air as the tank is opened and bacta splashes onto the floor. Then we hear a voice, “Omega”. The penguinesque figure is slipping around in the spilled bacta pleads with the masked man, “brother, I thought you were dead… I uh just wanted a new start”. “And you shall have one”, replies the masked man.

Quick cut from Omega’s shocked face to her same expression frozen in carbonite. Real Boba looks at the bounty notice and shakes his head.., “I hate it when they say no disintegrations” then we see Slave 1 punching into hyperspace

The TM sculpt looks cool because it looks like him, 20 years ago. I'm not a big fan of the baggy skirt costume, but it does look better in figure form for some reason.

Lack of imagination as you say... and stupidity.

I mean, the Tuskens were shown to be complete idiots when it came to machinery. Instead of trying to ride and learn themselves they're reduced to Jawa's taking apart machinery for scrap, it's like they have zero intelligence...

And yet they make their own longrifles and have lathes. Makes zero sense, but whatever, slow moving stick dance!

Well I said I'd give this show 3 or 4 episodes and I have. Think this is where I get off.
I'll keep an eye on this thread in case the last few episodes do a massive turn around and end up being good.
I think a lot of us in this thread are quite likeminded on the issues with this show. If you guys like the last episodes, I can probably trust that.

it‘s so sad …

hope they don’t ruin Mando in the last three episodes
That thought crossed my mind. I won't be surprised if that character gets dragged down by this.

It's just so uneven and bizarre the way this show is playing out. I have to wonder if Morrison has seen any of the completed episodes of this show and realizes how emasculated and weak Boba Fett is coming across in this.

What was Favreau thinking when he wrote it?

It's such a missed opportunity.

I don't know how any of this could come as a surprise to him. I can't imagine him thinking "oh man fans are gonna think I'm so badass pushing this door button over and over" or "wait till they see me come out in my bathrobe and slippers to see if the women and children have defeated my foe for me."
