Having just about all of the TDK line of figures, I was hoping that any revisits would be as upgraded figures such as Two-Face, which was quite an improvement to the original. I don't feel or see the need to upgrade this one. I hope HT doesn't go half-assed with the next Joker.
That was my thinking as well. Even if the costume stayed the same as that seems pretty good to me, at least give us a new/updated headsculpt and better proportioned body. Instead we get a diorama base. Don’t get me wrong, the base looks really cool and I’m starting to like more basses like this that don’t take up the full shelf but still add something a little different a cool for the individual figure. I got tired of the oval stands.

well, the body is new and 1 cm taller now, so it will go better with the new Bale that's coming out. So seems to be the suit. The paintjob on the face will be new but something looks a bit off in the headsculpt. I think the likeness to AH was better on the first, although it is the same hs... can't point my finger at it.
Anyway, will get this girl, as i finally can display her with the gooles on and without. HT should really clarify if the googles can be removed though...

I wonder if they are going to limit these re releases to dark knight. Will they do the 66 batman again and the keaton batman ? And Afflack what the hell.

I would say Keaton and Affleck have a shot with the Flash coming out next year. Since HT like to chuck out lazy reissues I could see them doing that.

Yeah, if I am to buy back into this line I might get her. That diorama base is awesome and after seeing the full set of pics over at BBTS I think the figure looks good enough, unimproved from the original though it may be in many people's estimations.

Plenty of time to decide anyway - not out till 2023. Must double check the release dates for all the other reissues.

I'll probably pick this one up. Looks to be an improvement overall, although the portrait looks a bit off. Stand is cool. I'll keep the first with the Batpod.

I tried watching TDKR a few weeks ago revisiting the movie after many years. I was a difficult watch, I had to turn if off. I’m not saying it was bad (well maybe) but just to serious for me. I need to go back and watch the entire trilogy again to see how I feel. I know at the time the idea for “These new Batman movies” was to make them more serious and remove themselves from the Burton campiness but I’m wondering after all these years I might just prefer the “Burton campiness” for my Batman comic book movie. I guess I’ll go back and see.

So odd to me.

I feel like this movie has only gotten better with time. It’s still the only CBM thats made me deeply relate to and feel compassion for the hero and IMO the only truly inspiring CBM ever made.

Rises shows us a human hero who can come back from personal failure and atone for their mistakes.

Batman Begins is the best Batman movie ever made. TDK is the best Batman villain movie ever made. Rises is the best Bruce Wayne movie ever made. I think each film is fantastic by itself but the trilogy brings it all together for the central character, each bringing something new to the table.

I hate Rises for what it did with Batman but still like the other characters enough to buy these figures. Hopefully Bane is next and then a new Joker.

While I do love the TDK Trilogy, my main gripe with Batman/Bruce Wayne is how he doesn't take either Joker or Bane as actual serious threats until it's almost too late. IMO, Batman, who is just about ALWAYS the smartest man in the room with a plan for everything wouldn't do that.

Joker: "One man or the entire mob? He can wait." This about a guy who literally stole from the entire mob and got away with it, but Batman think he's no big deal.

Bane: " Ras al Ghul was the league of shadows and I beat him, Bane is JUST a mercenary" This about a guy who took out ppl right and left at the stock exchange and organized a plan to rid Bruce Wayne of his fortune in ONE night. But he's just a mercenary.

Where as, he took Ras very serious in Batman Begins and I would even say the slight possibility of Joker being a threat serious at the very end of Begins with taking the card and telling Gordon "I'll look into it," instead of the alternate scenario of giving the card back to Gordon saying "nah, he can wait."

I'm wondering what the backdrop of the diorama is. It looks like it might be a printed on sheet of cardboard, or a plastic sheet with foam backing.

Much agreed, I personally like TDKR and still hold it in high regard. Batman Begins is my most favorite Batman film and in my top movies ever.

Good points! I thought it a flaw of Batman when he underestimated Bane, which caused him to fall.
