Re: Indiana Jones 5 (July 19th, 2019)

It?s interesting you bring that up. That?s another thing I disliked about the PT......
Dooku and his fighting style. CL is a great screen presence , but having he fight with a saber was all wrong,

Dooku’s sword play was fine.

It was just little things like him hopping over that rail that didn’t sit right with me. You couldn’t give him a couple of lines of antagonizing dialogue towards Obi-Wan and Anakin as he casually walks down the steps? That would have been way cooler.

Then Obi-Wan should have been killed when that beam comes down and crushes him. :lol Again, you couldn’t just have Dooku knock him unconscious from forcing him against the wall or something?

Less is more doesn’t apply to ROTS.

"Frail Christopher Lee?" It has nothing to do with whether he was a frail old man, there's no athlete on the planet capable of such acrobatics. ;)

Wrong.

It's a galaxy far, far away, plus they have The Force.

Is Shia coming back for this one? I really liked KOTC.

KOTCS was great till Marion showed up. Kinda like how TPM was great till Jar Jar showed up (and I even liked Jar Jar, just that it was all over the place from that point).

I actually was really enjoying KOTKS right up to the fridge.

What they should have done is used the rocket car gag to escape the bomb.....

That shot of Indy looking at the mushroom cloud is great, and sets the time perfectly.

The only other scenes that were any good were the bike chase and the graveyard.

The rest of that film is utter trash.

That's like the first 10 minutes. :lol

The fridge was ridiculous. Indy getting called "Old Man" every 4 minutes was annoying. The CGI jungle and monkeys were lame. The lack of danger and violence ruined the film. At no point does it feel like the main characters are in any real danger. It's like watching old people enjoying a theme park ride. I also can't remember Indy doing anything cool or killing bad guys, except for the "part time" scene. It's just a lame film with a guy that's too old. Imagine a James Bond film with a 66 year old Bond who marries a 60 year old woman by the end of the film? Who the **** wants to be that guy? :lol If Indy 5 gets made it will be even worse.

For me it was the execution of the dialogue....

"PART TIME" sounded so off
"You want my help or not"
The way you _______ your W
"When we where spying on the Reds" When?
He's a war hero" When?

"I thought it was closer" was iconic IJ!!!

I actually liked the fridge scene but the monkeys and Marion were awful. The only way they can pull off Indy 5 is to give us more of the ?Indy in the white jacket? from TOD or the ?Indy the detective/explorer? from the library or 3 trials from Last Crusade. More of a negotiator or solving puzzles/riddles. He can?t be physically punching muscle bound adversaries.
