I honestly had to think about it but I am glad HT didn't get the rights I mean they probably would have done a very great job on a few figures but at the end I rather a company that loves the series do these figure so Asmus has done very well in releasing these figures.

Hot Toys would have done Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas and Boromir and called it a day. They're horrible about completing lines. No way they'd be making hobbits with new bodies and generic elven warriors. Gotta say, Asmus has definitely put a lot of care into this line.

Fantastic set up Rzez  I like how you seemed to be inspired by the SS 1/5 scale statue poses for Aragorn and Gandalf. Even if not, the whole set together just looks incredible. Wish I had that kind of space for all my figures

You beat me to it.

Thank goodness that HT didn't get the LOTR license. They wouldn't have completed even the "Fellowship Nine".

Asmus has done a fine job and for the most part, getting better with each subsequent release.

LOTR 1/6 is in good hands.

Very well said! Personally I believe if HT had gotten it we would have been lucky if we got more than just Aragorn & Gandalf. Maybe just maybe they would have also made Frodo and Sam since if my memory is correct they helped Sideshow develop their hobbit bodies.

Great minds fellas :hi5: I love HT as much as the next guy, but they're so repetitive and predictable these days that to me, what they produce, while good, isn't very exciting anymore. When I see an announcement from Asmus, DAMToys or heck even Star Ace, I get more excited even if I'm not too into the line/character they're producing.

Anyone got any photos of the Fellowship together please? :)

Very cool, Neko!!!

Looks like you re-haired the hobbits and they look fantastic! (Pippin, in particular.)

Could you please post some closer photos of the Hobbits head sculpts?

Man that is awesome!!

What an awesome display! :clap :clap :rock
Looks freakin. amazing Rzeznikk! Also, excellent posing. Looks really natural and epic.
Thanks guys for the kind words [emoji120]

Yes the Aragorn pose is inspired by the statue. The Gandalf was more trying to recreate the Bridge scene.

I got my set in today. IMO it?s a great set. I don?t have it set up yet so no pics yet other than the sculpt. I?ve been a very vocal critic of this sculpt from the start. Happily, IMO again those concerns were unfounded. Of course it is not perfect but it matches up very well with images of Aragorn from Google. I will do a more thorough review another time but this picture looks pretty good to my eyes. Of course make you?re own opinion up.1FAEF248-C79A-44C5-92EB-27D573A88444.jpeg47EC7819-C4A1-45AD-8F12-52D13D40F0D5.jpeg

I can't disagree there - I wonder how rooted hair and the proper dimple on the chin would look - because this picture you see much more of the likeness
I see it more here than the previous versions personally

Yeah it looks really good there.
Also Trevor from OneSixthShooter on Instagram took this shot which I think is the best this sculpt has looked yet! I'm planning to add real hair so hoping that'll give an even better likeness. Screenshot_20210104-183600_Instagram.jpg
