Khev I was so depressed, disgusted and furious that THANK THE MAKER the big reveal ended up stopping me from putting my fist thru the TV.

Absolutely disgusting what Fav and Filoni went and did while absolutely amazing what they pulled off at the end.

But holy crap WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY would they do that!!!

I'm going to need some serious forum help to get me thru that.

Grogu has to come back, surely. It is his show as much as it is Dins. If he doesnt come back they will lose a lot of casual viewers that are only in it for ?Baby Yoda?. And we all know what happens to the students that Luke takes onboard.

IMO they left things in an interesting place. The show is called the Mandalorian, and at the moment

1) Din D'jarin has pretty much nothing except a sword he doesn't want. Even his sense of self is broken down. It's the hero journey where you lose everything...and then rebuild

2) They've made a point of saying Mandalorians live by a code. Din D'jarin promised Grogu. I expect he'll keep that promise.

3) Moff Gideon is still alive with resources. Even with Luke, the Child is a target. For Gideon or someone worse.

I have no doubt Fett would've ended the little girl had Bo-Katan not stopped the fight. Cooler heads prevailed. There were larger fish to fry.
Just go with that. It makes it easier.

He's not even fat, he has the slightest gut. The guy is 60 years old and still looks great tbh, I doubt most of us will look as good as he does at that age.

Yeah, I'm not slagging on the dude. Except for Ford, all of the surviving cast members got fat. It happens.

Ever see the actual costumes in person at Magic of Myth or one of those shows? The original costumes from the 70s are tiny. Everyone was so slim back then. Jeremy Bulloch, may he rest in peace, was a slim dude.

We've gotten really really fat as a race over the last 40 years. Anyone's gonna look fat squeezed into costumes designed for much slimmer human beings.

Probably too clunky of a conversation to have in that moment. "oh by the way, have any of you ever heard of jedi master yoda? This little guy looks a lot like him"

I dont like the cgi route for one reason, if Hamill dies tomorrow they will do the ******** Marved did to Black Panther and shelve the character. Those characters are more important than the actors, and they will live forever in pop culture.
There is 30 years of history to be written, the recast would be the perfect oportunity to show a more mature luke in his late 20's, but i still hope that the next he appear as a leading protagonist will be a recast or Or take the opportunity that Hamill is still alive and put him back in a tv series 10 years before TFA, close his character arc while he still breaths.

I'll be honest when I saw that X-wing my first thought was "It's the Kim's Convenience" guy!!

I think having R2 D2 in the scene was also a course correction for what ST did with Luke/R2 relationship.

Nobody or no she's still a Mandalorian, Boba isn't. They are the greatest warriors in the Galaxy. I don't think it's forced at all, it was a pretty even fight, he whooped her, she whooped him, ended in a stalemate with the flamethrowers.

There are way bigger problems and inconsitencies in this episode than everyones precious Boba Fett being beat up.

She might be a mandalorian but she is a single mandalorian a tiny mandalorian and they should had Fett wipe the floor with her then look at Bo Katan and say NOW WHAT are you going to respect my CLONE VOICE NOW.

Lets go on out mission now shall we.

Even if it wasn't a girl power thing they still did Fett wrong.

Okay I pulled up the infamous scene on my phone and watched it again. I actually love Fett's demeanor and dialogue in that sequence. Calling Bo Katan "princess" like Han talking down to Leia. Awesome. I like that he got the first hit in by throwing "strong female character" (in "Critical Drinker's" voice, lol) through the table, lol. Then him grappling her arm with the cable was just weird. What was he even going for? Obviously not a lethal attack. And her forearm strength in just one arm exceeding both of his *with* his entire body weight behind it? Hnnnng.

I do realize that at the very least he performed no worse than he did in ROTJ which is why I'm even considering not writing off those scenes completely.

Told you so. There was never a chance of anybody but Hamill appearing in this historic moment in Star Wars.
