Guys, I'm getting another HT Robocop, clean version.

This time I plan on repainting it entirely, not just stick to transparent paints.

So... Which color scheme would you rather see? Robocop 1 or 2?

Hi
As anybody heard anything from Dark_spidey a lately ? Kev is his proper name
I sent my battle damaged Robocop 1/6 hot toys to him for a repaint in December 2018
I?ve been contact with him up until December 2019 and since then no contact.
I?ve emailed through normal mail and emailed him on Facebook plus sideshow and twitter for the past 4 months
Nothing from him

Hi James the Cat, I was only wondering the same thing the other day if Dark Spidey was still around as I was thinking of commissioning him to work on my Robocop. That's a concern, I hope he is okay and you receive your Robocop.

Hi guys,
I talked to him recently. He is busy man and the current context is also not helping.
I shouldn?t be worry, he will get back you soon.

Cheers
I hope so too, I will be gutted if not

I was in touch with him recently via email, discussing a potential repaint on my MMS202. He said he's still taking commissions but the conversation dropped off and he didn't reply. I guess if he's swamped with a backlog of work this explains it.
The current situation has affected everyone and some more than others. I think it's easy to forget that at the moment. I hope he gets back to everyone here with outstanding work. Personally I'm on the fence now about getting mine repainted because I pre-purchased two more figures instead :lol (and because I'm not sure I want my figure to be gone for 12-18 months)

Not only are the wait times ridiculous, but the prices these painters/customizers charge is laughable most of the time anyway.

Enviable though some people's collection of customs is I never could bring myself to really get into the 1/6 customizing game - just too much involved and too much risk at multiple stages of the process.

I'm tempted to spray my Robocop with some very fine transparent layers of black and purple to try and replicate the look and feel from the first film but it's just the immense risk of mucking it up that puts me off... you need balls of steel to customise and I would rather leave it to an expert, but damn, spidey's repaints look simply awesome.

Air brushing isn't as difficult as you might think, especially if you practice a little bit. Plus it would save you about a $700. :lol
