Daisy showing some skin, good girl.

You just know she meant she?s not a fan of RJ when she said porgs lol

And yes of course hands down baby yoda > porgs

Considering the circumstances of working under a changing disjointed story structure I think she?s carried herself respectfully in the best light possible and more importantly she?s got a nice rear end.

Didn’t she allegedly talk bad about Rian behind the scenes at D23 this year? She’s awesome. :lol

Gosh damn this show is so good.

Loved Episode 4.

The little guy gets cuter every episode. Gina Carano was badass.

A very obvious nod to a classic Kurosawa flick.

Spoiler Spoiler:

Daisy showing some skin, good girl.

She showed her boobies when she played a corpse in some British TV show called "Silent Witness" before she was Rey.

WARNING.....DO NOT, I repeat...DO NOT watch the actual clip from the show!!!

You see her boobs for about one frame and then they start dissecting her body during an autopsy. PUKE.

If you wanna see her (small but decent) ta-tas just make sure you only look at a still image of that first frame.)

Love Bryce Dallas Howard as an actor, but that was one clunky directed episode; the fights were so slow and insanely telegraphed - you could see every single move from a mile away.

Felt more like and episode of Star Trek Next Gen.

I like the show so far, but I agree this was the weakest episode so far.

The two main things that took me out of it:
  • Why did they sneak into the camp only to blow up a random hut, instead of just going straight for the AT-ST? Seemed like lazy writing to me just to set up that unnecessary battle scene.
  • Can AT-STs be remote controlled now? Perhaps I saw it wrong, but it seemed that the cockpit was empty the whole time. Again seemed like lazy writing, because if there had been a driver, he easily could have sniped him out of it directly.

Don't get me wrong, overall I LOVE the show, but the first 3 episodes set the bar pretty damn high.

I think the point was that they couldn?t take on the AT-ST on their own. Why I don?t know, but that was sort of the premise. They wanted to have it chase them to the ditch. Also it was quite well hidden.
There?s no reason to think that the cockpit was empty. There was red light in there, but who knows what kind of lighting that species prefer.

The episode might have been the weakest so far, but it was still good. It did show some more depth to the characters and the baby just owned it :)

Spoiler Spoiler:

The first thing that came to mind with the ATST was WOTW and it was really well done that could?ve easily been a farm area in NJ circa 1938 when the original OW broadcast took place super creepy the fog light instantly sold it for me.

And so far only Solo and now this episode even more so have shown how scary or devastating an ATST can be under the right circumstances ie; during the night.

Now regarding the episode I can see how one could walk away saying clunky, predictable or corny but not us Khev.. not us.

I cut thru all of that and just payed close attention to the tone and emotional beats and boy did it bring on the feels.

Baby Yoda has now not only achieved mogwai levels of cuteness he has surpassed it as far as i?m concerned truly one of the best creatures ever created for SW holy crap was he awesome in this episode.

Carano....what else can be said that has already not been said...i?m in love lol

Her clunky stiff delivery is almost part of her charm but she is improving and holy crap is she a beast or what lol

I liked it that it was different than the other 3.

Keep it coming.

My wife loved the feels in this one lol

This episode was a mixed bag for me, but as has been said, the first 3 set the bar high.

Good:

  • They addressed the helmet thing directly, eating etc.
  • The Child is still cute.
  • References to post Empire conditions.
  • AT-ST was shown to be a real threat.

Bad:

  • Largely untrained villagers with sticks should have been slaughtered.
  • Why were they being attacked by Orcs?
  • Music -- first time I've not liked the score, it was really jarring and trying too hard. I get it, peaceful village.
  • Acting -- the farmers were too slack-jawed and unbelievable. They looked like LARPers. Gina's a little stiff too.
  • Strategy/writing -- why not find the AT-ST? Why not attack them with the Razor Crest?
  • Repercussions -- Those Orcs took a beating but aren't finished yet.
  • Cinematography -- looked like TV. Yes to whoever said it looked like TNG.

With that all said, it was obviously still leaning into the lone gunslinger/frontier tropes this series relies on, which I like, and one mediocre episode isn't enough to turn me off the entire series. Watchable.

*Is it just me or was our boy *very* chatty this episode?

jye are you ready for this?

Mando Episode 4 established that he hasn't taken his helmet off in front of others since he was a kid because "that is the way."

Episode 3 established that he was a child during the Clone Wars.

Do you see where I'm going yet?

Well in one fell swoop The Mandalorian just decanonized

The Mandalorian officially has it's own canon that adheres only to:

That's right PT/CW/Rebels lovers Mando just decanonized AOTC and all your crappy cartoons, lol! :rock :clap

What we're seeing is an alternate fully rebooted PT/CW that actually syncs with the OT. :thud:

Yep in one week they decanonized all the stupid Disney comics with "they fly now" and now AOTC and all the CG cartoons, lol. Holy crap.

.....he's still a child? Like Baby Yoda? :monkey3

:lol :lol

Okay I totally screwed up the wording of that sentence but you know what I mean, lol.

Cut me some slack I'm still processing the fact that we have awesome new live-action SW that just rebooted 90% of the crappy stuff. :thud: ;)

If they somehow elude to the fact that "Dark Empire" is taking place at the same time as Mando I'm gonna lose it, lol.

*Is it just me or was our boy *very* chatty this episode?

He was but he actually had people to chat *to* this episode. ;) Somebody check on Prime Clone after he realizes what this episode has done to his entire way of life, lol.

I freaking loved hearing Gina Carano be the first character in SW history to actually use the term "AT-ST" on screen, lol. :love

Four for Four for me. I love this show in a way I didn't think possible since GoT season 1.

It's well worn territory...hell it was 7 Samurai and a bit of Three Amigos.....but with these characters it just works so well.

I adore this show. I can't remember a show that is so thoroughly entertaining scene for scene. Love how the Lone Wolf and Yoda stroll into town and are basically saviors.

Ass kicking woman debuted, and she was likeable, confident but not smug, and believably capable in a fight. Everything Rey is not and will never be.

And man oh man, remember that absolute knockout from the Indian episode of Westworld season 2? I knew it was her right away. Poor Mando....could have had a hell of a life with her, and her daughter and his "son" the Yoda baby. But he lives by that code, so it just wasn't meant to be.

This was a simple episode, but it delivered, and LOOK WOMAN HATERS!!! Another female director!! And strong smart women has speaking roles!! What will the twitter outrage be this week??

I'm so cautiously optimistic they don't ruin this......this is hands down the best entertainment I've enjoyed in years.

Baby Yoda is pretty much TOOOO cute......diabetics should be careful while watching his scenes.

I love everything about the four eps we've got so far......prayyyying the remainder of season one stays just like this.

I honestly believe there hasn't been this satisfying, "wholesome," uplifting SW story since the very first movie 42 years ago........god I hope it never goes grimdark."

And! We still have ol Billy Bald Dome to look forward to in ep 6!!
