Here's a couple of quick shots of the work-in-progress on the outfit for my naked Patient "X":{/quote]

Looking good! you don't really even need to put shoes on him if you just "dead"-up his bare feet up instead. Actually, one boot on, one boot off would be pretty nasty. :)
I've actually got a pair of Nikes for him but I have to do some massive weathering on them before they'll work. I also have to add some glossy red and/or gloasscoat to simulate "wet" blood.

I think the shirt is looking good, but the bloodstains on the jeans should be a bit darker.

And since I was having trouble with the images above, here's a repost of them:

I'm no DarkArtist but I'm working on it. ;)

I know this isn't the Marvel section, but he is one of the Undead. :D For those of you who missed him, here is:

Do you mind if i ask what brand and color of paint you used?

It looks great.

Thanks! I used Games Workshop "Gore Red", "Chaos Black", then just plain white for the eyes. I watered down the red and black to "ink" for a few passes before applying straight coats in the areas I wanted solid colored afterwards. Then a clear gloss coating was added to keep the blood looking wet. :)

Finished my custom outfit and bloody-ing of Patient Zero/Patient "X":

I figured since he began the plague of The Dead that he should be very bloody and very dirty indeed. All the "wet" areas are perfectly dry, by the way... yay glosscoat!

could one argue that a firm DEAD collection isn't really complete without a Patient X? I'm thinking of getting one but I already have PZ and the rest of THE DEAD boys....but I'm feeling that my collection is imcomplete without one...

That all depends on your point of view.

I've been making modifications to all my Dead figures (Sideshow's stock paintjobs are just not quite gorey enough for my taste), but there's no way I feel I could try extensive custom work on something I paid over $200 for (too afraid of screwing something up), so getting a naked Patient "X" was a solution. If you're just getting one of the repros to display as-is, it's going to look very much like the Patient Zero you already have (and I'm not sure that getting a PX at this point is even possible; I got mine from another member of this board), so it wouldn't want to put it in my display. I'm not so big on the twin zombies.

so just how exactly do we get our hands on the Paitent X ?
just in case we know someone who was into that sort of thing :)

Finally!!! I've scored a Dust Unmensch figure... I've been patiently trying to get one off of eBay for what seems like forever. Now if I can just wait for the shipping :rotfl

Anyone else notice that Patient Zero, the Guard and Corporate Spokesman are all wearing the same watch? It must be one of the clues to how the infection spread :lecture

Surely not just convenient reuse of parts :lol

Ever notice the first four figures are all on the same body? Maybe the virus only affects people of a certain height? :monkey1
