Rubber or just very pliable plastic?

Okay so I'm new to 1/6 scale collecting but that's not what I want to talk about, I was wondering if any one knew what material companies like Mezco and NECA use rubber or very pliable plastic for coats, belts and just general detailing on the figure?

Item in particular that I want to know more about is Mezco's jetpack hellboy figure with the bomber jacket on, I wanna know if the jacket is rubber or bendy plastics but I would also like to know in general what material it is that companies use.
