Hopefully with the new Max figures on the market, he will do another run of sculpts. The sculpt is pretty nice, defo a strong resemblance to Mel. I think it cost me 60 or 70 bucks. I got a painted one, as I'm no good at creative stuff.
That would be a fantastic deal, if available. I would get the regular and injured sculpt, if that's the case.

Yeah that was a couple of years ago, so it could be more now?, I to would like a battle damaged sculpt. I might try and make up a battle damaged fig, if I got that sculpt. I might message him myself.

Yeah, I'd be surprised if that was the total cost. Perhaps someone sold theirs cheap.

But regardless, it won't be $60-$70 painted today.

That's the problem. A good sculpt with a better paint-job can run you $300-$450 easy today.

It's why the $35 knock-offs do so well even if smallish or warped from bad recasting.

While we're on the topic of that head, the paintwork done by Maximus Miniatures is fantastic across the board. In my opinion, they're one of the best painters around.

I started following From Russia’s custom work on IG last week. Amazing stuff. I commented on his Max sculpt. That thing is beautiful but I agree, it ain’t gonna be $60 painted like that unfortunately.

One with yelim’s paint work and one with From Russia’s.

I got this today and it’s not even remotely the train wreck I was expecting. Actually quite a nice looking figure on the shelf. A body swap is a must if you want to pose him properly and with a little weathering and futzing he’ll be great for any collector who isn’t a Mad Max detail specialist. :D

That was my finding, as well. It isn't perfect out of the box and will benefit greatly with some upgrades but straight out of the box, it will definitely provide a decent representation of the "Road Warrior".

As a figure he does display well once body swapped.

It's just that he's more of an artist's interpretation of MM2, like a Sideshow Mythos version of the character.

JX01 body has a slim neck and looking at that sculpt making the neck looks wide, so the head sculpt is on the small side

It's a tiny sculpt.

I don't know what Premier were thinking, but that also applies from head to toe on this figure. I often expect new company names to be cover for experienced teams, but in this case I think it was their first rodeo.

Did anyone preorder their Premier Wasteland Gladiator from Monkey Depot and has gotten word on it shipping soon?
