And the actual thing.

NECA has the right idea with a more white color, insted of brown....but it doesn't work.

It's too white, that's the problem. It just comes off as unpainted.
Then with Boar, you have this off-white/yellowish color that just looks cheap. The only figure that has a good, solid-looking base color is Hippie.

I think a lot of it is unpainted plastic.
