Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Sorry guys, I have absolutely no time to futz or pose Supes since I got it.
But here are a few very raw pics, just in some sunlight coming in the window. The crystal base is amazing, I have wanted this since 1979!
The sculpt looks much better inhand than I have seen in anyones pics (including these!). It is fantastic. The boots are soft plastic, not rubber, so there is a tiny amount of flexibility there. The Box is huge, I have to admit the giant logo is kinda silly looking inhand, cool but I have no idea, what I'm gonna do with it. And I'm getting another from SS!

Anyway, sorry again about rushed pics, these are raw so you can se how good the headsculpt is.
I will endevour to take some proper ones in next few days..

WOW, These are the best pictures I have seen so far and the natural light really brings out how amazing this piece looks. Thanks for the photo's.

Cant wait to bathe and nap with mine :yess:

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Best HT figure ever! (because of how good it is, and who it is of)

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

I think it's fair now to say that there is a new king of Hot Toys.
I think T1 Arnie is pretty amazing but this is mind blowingly awesome!!

Has there ever been a more accurate head sculpt?

Brilliant pics Rorywan.
You just can't beat naturally lit pics like this to show off these types of sculpts.
Thanks!

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

From HT alone i'd argue there have been more accurate head sculpts, but this is certainly up there.

As an overall figure/package though, this may well be HT's finest so far.
I have a feeling Nicholson Joker or Keaton Bats may change that once people get them in hand. But all three look to be back to back home runs.

Let's hope theres no QC issues that crop up with this or the '89 figures

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

T1 Arnold, Reeve, and the new Bale sculpts are tops IMO. Godfather is pretty detailed too and it's an older one.

Comedian, T1 Arnie, and the upcoming 89 Joker IMO.

Just noticed that they are all sculpted by Yulli.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Thanks guys, this isn't one of those sculpts that you have to over light to make it look good, I always love natural light pics, even if they are a bit rushed.

I think this sets a new bar for Hot Toys. I agree with Void though, I think 89 Joker & Bats will be of a similar standard. How amazing is it that we are getting these icons so close together?

This is so good, it's makes me excited for each and every one of you who are Superman fans, just wait till you take the top off that giant red and blue box!

:hi5::yess:

...and here's a snap of the bag if anyone is interested..

Congrats on taking the single best picture. Nobody can say this isn't a 99.9% accurate sculpt after this photo in natural light. Glad ther eis no PERS, the eyes look real here.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Can't wait to get this figure, it looks like its set to be my most favourite fig

I've not been following this thread for a whole so I don't know if this has already been discussed, but I saw some images of the figure next to a big S shield

Is that the box? Cuz if so, that looks awesome!!!!
