How much do you want Hot Toys to do Bond?

This would be a waste of time for Hot Toys. With the exception of Moore in a Moonraker spacesuit, Bond is just a guy in a suit.

Done in one.

I'd rather see HT concentrate of figures that would be hard/impossible for customizers to do like armored and rubber suited characters. Or elaborate costumes like Ramirez from Highlander.

Approves :clap

I just want HT to make a nice 1/6 scale suit that doesn't cost a fortune.

That in itself is a good reason for doing Bond - if they got, for example the suit from the beginning of Thunderball right, a lot of people would buy it just for the suit, because there are only about three great 1/6 suits (that I've seen anyway).

Also, I can't see how a Thunderball Bond with jetpack would be less interesting than, say, The Godfather.

Despite what I said earlier in the thread about Enterbay, I guess what we need is for Enterbay to announce Bond figures. That would practically guarantee Hot Toys doing them.

Connery Bond would be nice, but I'm not interested in picking the figure up even if HT did it. I bought the original Connery figures SSC did, and decided I just don't need any more figures from the license.

I'd really love a Sean Connery's version of Bond in the tux, but I'd also love a Daniel Craig from Skyfall (or Casino Royale) :D:D

Does no one remember that David Niven also played Bond? He never gets mentioned.

:D

Well technically so did Woody Allen if you count Niven. But let's not go there...

Anyhow, I'd like to think someone out there would make a Bond, with so many figures, how can you ignore one of the biggest franchises ever?

I'd be interested. I'm a big Bond Fan but i have like 15 of the Sideshow figures and they aren't really that bad, in fact rather good considering how much they cost.

Next year we're getting a new Bond film on the Fiftieth anniversary of Dr No... if Hot Toys don't do Bond then, then when?

There are few stars as iconic as Connery as Bond, and he'd sell well beyond 1/6 collectors as would Craig. What I'd love is a Connery Bond DX with two outfits - tuxedo and grey suit - the usual weapons and accessories and a Thunderball jetpack (does anyone remember how we used to obsess about such a thing in the early days of these boards?). All in giant deluxe gun barrel packaging.

Clearly a Craig Bond figure would do well, and to finish it off... a 1/6 scale Aston Martin DB5 with ejector seat. Both versions of Bond got to drive it and it's the most famous movie vehicle ever, in continuous production as a toy since the 1960's, with many collector versions of it. It'd be smaller than the Tumbler and would arguably sell better. Put it in a giant replica of the Corgi box and I'll take two.

Sideshow Bond was good but has had it's day witht he sculpts now looking to much like caricature. Come on Hot Toys, give us a dangerous looking Connery and Craig.

Easy pass.
I like Bond but a $300+ Bond? No thanks.
And given that HT rarely, if ever, completes a license with a full run of characters it would most likely be only a Bond or two, then not the ones most wanted.
An AM would be great, though equally expensive and arguablly may not be THE most famous movie vehicle ever. This only when comparing to :
the Batmobile
BTTF Delorean
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
just to name a few

In that case don't leave out Barry Nelson, the first actor to play Bond on screen [in 1954] and the only American.

Becuase that film isn't Canon, same with 'Never Say Never Again'
Perhaps, but the thread is about wanting Bond, it doesn't specify only wanting canon versions.

the only james bond hot toys needs to do is sean connery. He is the first and best bond..now the bond movies are just stupid. no story linees.just hey what knew dumb gadget can we add now..

I think that most collectors dream of Hot Toys making figures of their favorite line whether it is Bond, Blade Runner or Back to the Future.

As a huge James Bond fan, I would love to see Hot Toys acquire the 007 license. I agree that it would probably be Craig from Skyfall, Connery (from Thunderball, perhaps) and I could even see Roger Moore getting some love.

If I'm dreaming...I would love to see some of the villains not made by Sideshow including Largo, Red Grant, Stromberg, Drax and Blofield from You Only Live Twice. Let me wake up now...
