How much do you want Hot Toys to do Bond?

I'd pick up a DX Connery Bond, but that would probably be it. I have mamy of the Sideshow figures and they're fine with me for what I paid for them. I have no desire to begin buying multiple Bonds again, but a nice DX Connery 007 with a black tux jacket & white tux jacket, the scuba gear, and a bunch of gadgets would be sweet. Or do just the tux sets and gadgets with a Connery AND Moore head.

A DX Connery Bond would be enough.

Hot Toys Bond is a Grail for me. I do love my Sideshows so give me a Craig first before anyone else (and Craig isn't even my favorite.) A DX Connery would be great! If he's from Dr. No, give me the black tux, and the beach outfit with blue polo and capris. If from Goldfinger, white jacket and grey suit.

Damn this thread.
Though I'd obviously considered Hot Toys Bond before, a 1/6 Aston Martin DB5 will now not leave my mind!

Being a Bond fan, it wld be great if HT did. Sadly, the fan-base for James Bond isn't very big when compared to Batman or Iron Man. If Hot Toys decide to do James Bond, they'll probably just do a Daniel Craig based on the latest movie and depending on the success of that figure, then maybe they will do the other Bond actors.. But honestly, I don't see that happening at all.. I doubt they would milk the Bond franchise and go all out like they have with the Batman and Iron Man franchise..

Currently, Medicom is the only one in the 1/6 market that has the license to do Daniel Craig's likeness. So who knows, it could be Medicom that wld be doing a Daniel Craig 007 figure...

My kitbash Daniel Craig 007 1/6 figure

I hope not because . . .

1. MEDICOM figures are under scale.

2. A MEDICOM Daniel Craig "Bond" figures will probably be $199.99 to $299.99 or more given the "Bond" license and MEDICOM's pricing history.

3. MEDICOM 1:6 . . . or 1:6-ish figures are an acquired taste . . . due to the fact they have niche licenses others don't thus those we collect & enjoy MEDICOM 1:6/1:6-ish offerings pay out the @$$ for their figures . . . then again . . . the same applies to HOT TOYS 1:6 collectors as well.

Given Sideshow's & HOT TOYS "relationship", maybe there is something in the works, but I would not necessarily bank on it.

But Sideshow has long relinquished the Bond license they had... I really doubt HT would do a James Bond series.. But like I said, if they did, they would probably just do one and that would be Daniel Craig as Bond.. Kinda like what they did with Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.. No other figures from origins or X-Men except for just that Hugh Jackman figure..

I have loved the Bond films since I was a kid but I don't really want a figure.

I think it's just because Bond doesn't have a creative look to me. :dunno

Yes yes yes yes yes! Would love a 1/6 Lotus Esprit as well from The Spy Who Loved Me, although I doubt that would ever happen.

Connery, Moore, Craig, Brosnan, Dalton and then Lazenby

I'd buy em all.

This.

Only for me the order would be Connery, Craig, Dalton, Brosnan, Moore and then Lazenby.

I don't really care about the girls or supporting characters or most of the villains (I'd buy a couple of the most iconic ones, but that's about it), however I'd love a great figure of each Bond actor in the role.

It's been a long time since Sideshow's efforts, and Hot Toys (or a manufacturer of their ilk) could deliver truly great Bond figures these days, with where the hobby is at currently.

I've just been dreaming about Enterbay announcing an UU Sean Connery... and then I woke up screaming.

I know Bond doesn't have the fanbase of Batman or Iron Man but there has to be a larger fanbase for Bond than Aldo Raine, Sucker Punch, maybe even Indiana Jones. I'd say it was roughly comparable to Indiana Jones or maybe Christopher Reeve's Superman. I just can't see that a HT Bond wouldn't sell out. In some ways it might be a better bet than a mass market Bond figure, because HT's are essentially luxury goods and Bond is all about luxury goods (maybe a tie up with some other product like the Nokis GoD figure would work?).

I know Hot Toys have said in the past that Men in Suits aren't really something they would be interested in making. What was the license this question was concerning? I can't remember but I think it was Inception.

Also Greggo who has worked for a compay with the Bond License has said there will probably never be any Bond 1:6 figures.

I would love a Brosnan and Craig figure on my shelf though.

^^
I remember HT saying that about the suits but Bond is so much more than just a guy in a suit. Do Connery From Russia With Love & give him the Jet Pack, Moore from Moonracker & give him a Space-Suit.

I highly doubt Hot Toys would do James Bond.. But if they did, they might as well do them all!!!! Which would probably take a year or two for them to have all the actors done....

I'd get all but Lazenby because I've never seen his film and don't know if I care to.
It's sad but the only Bond currently in my collection is Roger Moore and of the five (Bonds) I have watched, he's my least favorite.

Never seen his film...are you nuts...Go see it...it is awesome ...only Daniel Kraig showed emotion like Lazenby...only theme song without vocals too...powerful bond film and one of my favorites...At least look at it once to give it a chance...

On Her Magisty's Secret Service is one of the most interesting, dynamic and character central Bond films. Probably along with Casino Royale the most. Bond is one dimensional in every other film he's in. That being said Lazenby is probably the worst Bond.

One of the better Bond films, one of the worse Bonds. All in all? a must see nonetheless.
