I mean, I’m only basing it off the symbiote Spider-Man 3 figure. That to me tells me there’s a chance.

Also of interest, the Spider-Man 2 license is currently being utilized by Hasbro as of 2023/2024 for . . . Doc Ock. Notice it’s specifically Spider-Man 2, NOT No Way Home. Same thing all these companies have done for Andrew Garfield NWH but utilizing Amazing Spider-Man 2.

They have been heavily criticized for not only NWH Ock, but now, the Maguire Spider-Man, that parred with all the preorders and discussion, it sends a message to them about how popular the Raimi Spider-Man is.

I expect atleast a red and blue Spider-Man 3 that improves on this one. Atleast.
May be labelled SM2 but that’s the NWH design. So if HT make any SM2 figures they probably wont be accurate either :lol.

Have any of you guys got this on preorder with kit? I asked him if it would be the second batch but he said he doesn't know, not sure whether to cancel or give the order to someone else.

I’m pretty sure that’s why SS has delayed the orders…HT decided they had to fix the issues first..smart…now it’s just a shame the Asian market collectors got the first batch…Now is it possible we are revisiting “ The HT Tony Stank “ debacle and could HT be prepared to offer those who got the first batch flawed mask sculpts a replacement of this supposedly revamped new mask sculpt :dunnoWhatever the case ..I’m glad this time I decided to stick with my SS delayed order then rather try to get it sooner through the Asian market as some times I can’t wait

He comments on it within the first four minutes of the review…where someone thinks a worker had paint on their hands or something… good to hear the seller offered to get a new headsculpt from the supplier and also offer a full refund…

That was the masked sculpt he was referring to. I'm talking about his actual Tobey Maguire headsculpt. There's a blotch on one side of his face like a birthmark.

Still has an hideous seam staring you right in the face.
Not fixed, just slightly less offensively wrong.

When did Ock wear a turtle neck in SM2?
I recall his moobs being unleashed throughout the whole movie…

Indeed. It’s clear this figure is never going to satisfy me regardless of fixes and mods.

He did not.

I feel like a two pack with a permanently unmasked Peter Parker would be my favored solution to the swappable headsculpt problem. While I appreciate HT's attempt at a better solution than their previous fully suited neck, or the 3rd party neck condom (lol), I still feel like the most accurate looking and least goofy would be a a straight up unmasked bonus body. It'll never happen, obviously, but a guy can dream.

This was my (permanent) mod on a Holland figure. With the new Toby design's neck, it just won't be possible. :( So I'm stuck with their detached neck solution.

I'm working on my review, but I just opened mine, and it's not bad. Looking at the dot on the mask, it seems to be meeting higher than the ones that were problematic. Also, the lines are curving fine. Toby's head looks OK. Not a perfect figure, but overall, it's good in hand.

“It’s not bad”

Great compliment :lol

So that's from a "first batch"? It does look better than I thought it would, the bump from the forehead seam is still the worst part for me, I'm hoping that's addressed somehow but I doubt it will be. At least at arm's length it won't be so noticeable lol, it's pretty subtle in those pics.
